By The Bay Criss-Cross Crab Cards

The Bay The Bay Collection offers a stamp set, dies and embellishments that are perfect for creating cards with a relaxing and soothing ocean feel. The Designer Series Paper is gorgeous! The images and die-cuts collage together effortlessly for beautiful results!

Background Basics—I started by adhering a 5-1/2" x 2" strip of By The Bay Designer Series Paper onto a 5-1/2" x 2-1/4" piece of Basic White, then mounted it across a Sahara Sand card base. Next, I embossed a 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock with the Timber Embossing Folder, then adhered it to the card front across the right side. I finished the background by tying some Gold & Vanilla Edged Ribbon around the card front; double-knot and trim.

Sentiment Circle—I stamped the Seaside Bay sentiment in Soft Suede ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle die-cut. It's popped up with Dimensionals over the criss-cross elements.

Crab Collage—I die-cut the Crumb Cake grass element and two gold Brushed Metallic shells with the Seaside Bay Dies. The grass and large shell is adhered to the circle with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Next, I stamped the crab in Soft Suede ink and the shell in Sahara Sand ink onto Basic White cardstock. I die-cut the elements with the Seaside Bay Dies. The stamped shell was added with Liquid Glue. The crab and small gold shell are popped up with Dimensionals. Mini Dimensionals work best for that smaller shell.

I finished by adding a few gold Festive Pearls around the sentiment. I love how it picks up the gold from the shells and the gold foil in the DSP. Beautiful!

Two Cool—I started with a different crab pattern from the By The Bay DSP and mounted it onto a vertical Balmy Blue card base this time. The Timber embossed layer is in Gray Granite cardstock. I tied matching Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the card front.

Crab Collage—This time the Seaside Bay sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink. The grass is die-cut in Gray Granite cardstock and the shells are die-cut in Balmy Blue cardstock. The crab is stamped in Night of Navy ink and the shell is stamped in Gray Granite ink. I finished with Iridescent Pearls. This is a lovely color combination for sympathy or masculine cards.
