Hi Stamping Friends!

I'm so excited to be teaching another private class tonight!  *waves to Lynn*  Sounds like we're having a big group!  New stampers are the most fun!  I love watching their eyes light up when they create a little something that's Too Cool!  #happystampers

Secret solo - two cool

We'll be creating this project at tonight's class. If you came to my Spring Catalog Kick-Off event, you already recognize this card.  When I decided to use it, I realized that I never blogged about it back in January.

This card is great for a beginning stamper class because it features lots of stamping basics: stamping, punching, die-cutting, and layering!   It's also featuring two soon-to-retired colors: Baja Breeze and Pretty In Pink.

Secret solo - 1

The Baja Breeze card base is first layered with a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Tea For Two Designer Series Paper for the background.

Next, I stamped a Lucky Limeade stem from the Secret Garden stamp set onto a piece of 1-3/4" x 4-1/4" Very Vanilla.

Secret solo - 2

For a patterned flower, I stamped the chevron image from the Beyond Plaid stamp set in Pretty In Pink onto Very Vanilla card stock.  Then, I stamped the Secret Garden flower in Basic Gray on top of that and die-cut it with the coordinating Secret Garden Framelits.  TIP: You could simply stamp the flower on patterned DSP to save a step.  That's what we're doing at class tonight.

Sneak Peek Hint—Bundle It!  Order the Secret Garden Bundle of stamps and framelits and it's 15% off, but only in the Spring Catalog thru May 31!  Although the stamps and framelits will be in the new catalog, the discounted bundle is NOT…save when you order the Secret Garden Bundle now!

I stamped the flower again on Pretty In Pink card stock, then punched out the center with the Boho Blossoms Punch and popped it up with a Dimensional.  A Rhinestone Jewel adds some sparkle.

Secret solo - 3

I finished off the flower by adding a 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon bow with a Glue Dot.

The greeting isf from Ciao, Baby, inked in Not Quite Navy, then punched with the Petite Curly Label Punch (which is still available from the Sale-A-Bration flyer).
