Eclectic Expressions Happy Birthday Collage Cards

At first glance, the Eclectic Expressions stamp set may not appear very exciting, but as with most collage-themed sets, you have to play with it to really appreciate it! The images create fantastic backgrounds and fun accents. They are designed to coordinate with the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper to extend their versatility! Coordination, coordination, coordination! I love it!

Background Basics—I really liked the color combo of Eclectic Expressions sample on the front cover of the 2nd Release Sale-a-Bration brochure, so I used that as inspiration for my projects. This card starts with a vertically folded Night of Navy card base. I created the stamped collage on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White.

The elements were stamped in the following order:

Stamp the large circle in Berry Burst ink 3 times in a triangular pattern.
Stamp the small dotted circle in Night of Navy 5 times randomly.
Stamp the splotch of color in Peekaboo Peach image 3 times in a triangular pattern.
Stamp the striped line in Pool Party 3 times in the empty spaces, coming off the edge of the cardstock.
Finish up with Night of Navy flecks stamped along the outer edges of the collage.

Fun Elements—I wrapped some Pool Party Baker's Twine around the card front a couple of times and tied into a bow. Next, I die-cut a 2-3/8" circle from Vellum Cardstock with the Layering Circles Framelits and embossed the circle with the Oh My Stars embossing folder. I adhered it with SNAIL to the card front, slipping it underneath the twine. I added three Rhinestone Jewels floating around the elements, too.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Eclectic Expressions greeting in Night of Navy onto a 3-1/4" x 1" strip of Whisper White, fishtailed the end with Paper Snips and popped up the banner over the vellum circle with Dimensionals.

Too Cool—The second card has a Bermuda Bay card base, but all of the rest of the ink colors I used are the same. I changed up which colors I used on some of the elements:

Stamp the large circle in Pool Party.
Stamp the small dotted circle in Berry Burst.
Stamp the splotch of color in Peekaboo Peach.
Stamp the striped line in Night of Navy.
Finish up with Night of Navy flecks.

I also replaced the Pool Party solid twine with Peekaboo Peach striped twine. This card is so colorful and festive…perfect for any age birthday for anyone!
