My Digital Studio To Retire In May!

Stampin' Up! has just announced that it will be discontinuing the My Digital Studio digital designing software, all related downloads and all print product offerings on May 31, 2015. If you already own the software, you'll still be able to use it after it's retired, but there will be no new downloads and no support after the retiring date.  If you have any questions, please contact me.

Last Day To RVSP!  Today I'm sharing the final project from my Stamper Sampler Birthday Card Stamp-A-Stack Class coming up tomorrow!  We'll be making 12 cards (3 each of 4 designs) for just $20, so you can stock up on birthday cards!  Please RSVP by today, March 17, at 5pm!

My last card design features a colorful, extra-large birthday greeting from the Birthday Surprise stamp set!  It's a fun card that's great for anyone, male or female, of any age!   

Background Basics—I started with an Elegant Eggplant card base then added a 5-1/2" x 1" strip of Bermuda Bay striped Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper along the bottom.  I also embossed a 5-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock with the Lucky Stars embossing folder to attach to the top of the card background.  A 1/4" wide strip of Silver Glimmer Paper is adhered with Multipurpose Glue along the seam.

Fun Sentiment—I colored the large Birthday Surprise sentiment with Stampin' Write Markers before stamping to create the multicolored letters.  I used Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Elegant Eggplant colors on Whisper White card stock. TIP: Use the brush tip end of the markers to "paint" the color onto the stamp, huff on on the stamp to re-moisten it, then stamp.

The greeting was die-cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits, then popped up on the card front with Dimensionals. 

Shiny Sequins—I added a few Bermuda Bay Sequins with Multipurpose Glue to simulate confetti and, for some extra sparkle, added a Rhinestone Jewel on the top of each sequin. 

Two Cool—I tilted all the elements on their side to make a vertical version of the card.  The sequins are moved to the bottom right corner.

Shortened Sentiment—The Apothecary Accents die-cut was a bit too long to go vertical, so I simply cut off the sides flush with the edges of the card.  The sequins are moved to the bottom right corner.

Three Cool—My third version shows the background panels in a different order and sequins underlining the words.  I love playing around with the elements to make new versions!  Too Cool!
