Hi Stamping Friends!
The Succulent Garden Designer Series Papers are my favorite from the Occasions Catalog, so I couldn't wait to design the Stamp-of-the-Month class featuring these beautiful colors and patterns along with the Oh So Succulent stamp set!
Today, I'm sharing a pair of the pretty cards you can create with the kit! It's a lovely kit for creating amazing Mother's Day or birthday cards, plus it's your last chance to play with the retiring Mint Macaron & Tip Top Taupe In Colors before they are gone for good!
Get Those Retiring In Colors This Week! If you still want to purchase the 2015-2017 In Colors, be sure to do it THIS WEEK before they are officially announced on the Retired List on April 10. After that, they'll only be available White Supplies Last, and they will likely sell out quickly! Shop Retiring 2015-2017 In Colors Now

Succulent Garden Birthday Cards
Oooh, that paper! I love the beautiful colors and patterns in the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper! So, the very first cards I created for the Oh So Succulent class feature the most awesome pattern in the pack!
Background Basics—I started with a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Succulent Garden DSP layered onto a 2-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Mint Macaron card stock. Both layers are adhered with SNAIL to the Sweet Sugarplum card base, then wrapped with some White Thick Baker's Twine. I frayed the ends of the twine for a softer look.
Succulent Flowers—I stamped the Oh So Succulent two-step flowers onto scraps of Whisper White card stock, then die cut them with the Succulent Framelits. I like stamping the outline stamp image first because it's darker and easier to see through the stamp when lining up the second solid image over the top. The outline images are in full strength Sweet Sugarplum and Calypso Coral inks. The solid images are in the same colors, but they are stamped off once for a lighter version of the colors.
Succulent Focal Point—I stamped the Oh So Succulent birthday greeting in Memento Black Ink onto a Whisper White layer that I die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Then, I positioned my die-cut flowers into place without adhering them, so I knew where to stamp the small trio of dots in Old Olive ink. I matted the layer onto a scalloped Mint Macaron layer die cut with the Layering Squares Framelits, then popped it up with Dimensionals. I finished by popping up the die-cut flowers with Dimensionals and adding Pearl Jewels to the centers. Simple & sweet!
Two Cool—For the second card in the class, we're using the same layout in a horizontal orientation with some different colors. I used Old Olive for the card base this time, along with a Sweet Sugarplum scallop square mat around the focal point.
The flowers are in Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral on this card. Loveliness!
