Hi Stamping Friends,
I'm having fun playing with some of my new pre-order goodies from the upcoming 2016-2017 Annual Catalog! It comes out on June 1st, but I couldn't wait to show you a little sneak peek project from one of my favorite new bundles, the Swirly Bird stamp set and it's coordinating Swirly Scribbles Thinlits! It was also my first time playing with several of the fabulous new In Colors, too! Check it out below.
I'm also excited because softball season has started for my nieces and I love going to their games! This year, I even sponsored the high school team that two of them play for—the Too Cool Stamping team! How fun!
It's kinda silly, but I'm a little giddy about my business name being on the team shirt! EEEeeeee! Can you blame me? I've been watching all four of my nieces play in this league for years, so it's extra fun to be part of it as a sponsor! My brother-in-law coaches all of their teams, too, so it's really a family affair and a fun way to spend summer evenings! I hope they all have a great season! Go Sammi, Cassie, Ellie & Sophie! Play ball!

Swirly Bird Birthday Bouquet Cards—Oh my goodness! I'm so loving the swirly, girly images in the Swirly Bird stamp set! The images and die-cuts look great layered together for flowers, but they are also fun for making vine wreaths, bird's nests, kites, sailboats, as well as interesting backgrounds. This one is so creatively versatile!

Background Basics—I started with a Flirty Flamingo card base layered with a 5-1/2" x 1" piece of Sweet Sugarplum patterned paper from the new Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack.
Stamped Swirly Bouquet—Next, I created a stamped collage of flowers onto a 4-7/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Whisper White card stock. Here's how I built my bouquet:
- Stamp the largest swirl first in Sweet Sugarplum ink in the bottom left corner.
- Stamp the medium swirl in Flirty Flamingo ink on either side of the larger swirl.
- Add a few of the small and tiny swirls around the 3 flowers in Peekaboo Peach ink.
- Fill in the spaces with the 2 sizes of leaves in Crumb Cake ink.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a pretty sentiment from the Rose Wonder stamp set in Sweet Sugarplum ink on the top right.
Gold Mat & Swirl Accent—I cut out a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Gold Foil to use for the mat underneath the stamped layer, and that's eventually popped up on the card front with Dimensionals. TIP: Before adhering the Gold Foil mat, I die-cut the Swirly Scribbles layer from the center of it. Might as well make efficient use of the foil that won't be seen anway, right?! The swirl is adhered to the largest flower with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Bundle It & Save—Although it's not available to purchase until June 1 (unless you're a demonstrator!), you'll definitely want to purchase these stamps and thinlits together as a bundle to save 10%! Add it to your new catalog Wish List right now!
More Gold Accents—I added two Gold Sequins to the edge of the bouquet with Glue Dots.
Layered Flowers—Finally, I stamped the two small swirls again in Peekaboo Peach, die-cut them with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, and adhered them with SNAIL to the Flirty Flamingo flower swirls for layered blooms.
Two Cool—This is one of those card designs that looks equally terrific whichever direction you design it—horizontal or vertical! I'm truly loving this new & fresh color combination! Can't wait to play with those In Colors some more!

What a wonderful excuse to take advantage of the bad weather. Bringing some goodies from the garden inside and molding them into a celebratory arrangement full of a few of my favorite flowers.
No doubt, wishing someone with the beautiful birthday greeting cards is really amazing. Nice and very creative birthday greeting cards, I like your idea of use of Gold Foil in it.
