Nothing's Better Than…Cookies Cards
I'm a BIG fan of cookies…it's probably of my favorite from the Four C's in the Nothing's Better Than stamp set (Four C's = Cookies, Coffee, Cocktails & Chocolate). I especially love chocolate chip cookies, so these cards are perfect for me! If you like cookies, which is your favorite?
Background Basics—I embossed a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, then mounted it onto a Misty Moonlight card base. I also added a strip of the circle-patterned Misty Moonlight paper from the 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper Pack. It measures 5-1/4" x 1".
Sentiment Layers—I stamped the Nothing's Better Than "cookies" word in Misty Moonlight onto a Hippo & Friends Whisper White die-cut. I stamped first at the top, then stamped two more times without re-inking the stamp. I added a few little sparkle images in Crumb Cake ink. I love those retro-looking sparkles! This layer is popped up with Dimensionals.
Next, I stamped the first phrase in Early Espresso onto a 1-3/4" x 5/8" piece of Seaside Spray cardstock. Oooh, I love how the Seaside Spray cardstock looks with Misty Moonlight! It coordinates so beautifully, like a lighter version of Misty Moonlight. The second phrase is stamped in Early Espresso onto a 2" x 3/8" piece of Seaside Spray cardstock. It's attached onto the card front with SEAL adhesive.
Cool Cookies—I stamped the cookies outline images in Early Espresso ink onto Whisper White scraps, then filled in each area with the two-step color-fill stamp. The fill is either full-strength Crumb Cake or stamped-off Crumb Cake ink. I die-cut them with the Love You More Than dies, then added them with either SEAL or Dimensionals.
Two Cool—The second version I did in a vertical orientation with a Just Jade card base and textured background. The In Color DSP measures 4" x 1-1/2".
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped on the same Whisper White die-cut, but turned it vertically, too. The "cookies" words are stamped in Crumb Cake and I added a coordinating die-cut of the word from Early Espresso cardstock. This time, I added some sparkles in Just Jade ink.
The phrases are stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Mint Macaron cardstock.
Cool Cookies—I created the cookies exactly like the first card. Did you notice that, even though there is a bite out of the cookie, you can overlap the images so that it looks like some of the cookies are not eaten?
