Night In Bethlehem Fabulous Foil Cards

The awesome Bethlehem Edgelits look amazing die-cut from Foil Papers, so I created these two class kit cards to really showcase the foils! We'll be making both of these cards in the Night In Bethlehem Class Kits!

Stamped Background—I started by stamping a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" Very Vanilla card stock layer with the large Night In Bethlehem greeting in Early Espresso up in the top left corner. Next, I inked up the long building image in Soft Suede and stamped underneath the sentiment, centered between the words and the bottom edge. I immediately stamped the image again, without re-inking, just above the first image and slightly off-set.

I adhered the stamped background onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Gold Foil mat, then mounted the layers onto a Very Vanilla card base. I die-cut a star with the Bethlehem Edgelits dies from Gold Foil, then popped it up with Dimensionals next to the phrase.

Golden City & Star—I used the Bethlehem Edgelits to die-cut the smaller strip of buildings in Gold Foil. I popped the city up with Dimensionals & Mini Dimentionals. TIP: If you look closely, you can see some bumps on my foil. The pressure of the Big Shot can push the foil through some of the release holes, however, if you use the Precision Base Plate, you can eliminate most if not all of those bumps!

Two Cool—My second card uses some cooler colors. I changed to Whisper White card stock and Silver Foil for the layers.

Regal Purples—The sentiment is stamped in Elegant Eggplant and the buildings are stamped in Perfect Plum.

Precision Plate Results—Check out the difference it makes using the Precision Base Plate in place of a standard cutting pad with the Big Shot! I can only barely see one little bump on the Silver Foil die-cuts! Much improved! The Precision Base Plate is SO worth it!
