Tips For Mass-Producing Holiday Cards

Keep It Simple—My first card design shows just how beautiful a single layer of the snowflakes can be!  It's a lovely, simple design that easy to reproduce when making lots of cards!

Paper Stacks Are Perfect For Cards—My card also features the beautiful papers from the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack.  If you're making lots of cards, the 4-1/2 x 6-1/2" DSP Stacks are absolutely perfect!

You get 24 sheets of two different double-sided designs—48 sheets in all—so you don't have to worry about having enough of one paper style.  My cards show both sides of one of the double-sided sheets; just flip over the paper to completely change the look!

Double The Die-Cutting—Look for ways that you can do two things at once.  You can cut two layers of card stock with the framelits when you're cutting shapes.  In the case of this card, where you need to have the images stamped first to line them up, you could run both the snowflake and the sentiment through at the same time.  Two cool!

Card Background—I embossed a 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana to with the Argyle Texture Impressions Folder, then adhered that next to a 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of the Winter Frost paper onto an Island Indigo card base.

Snowflake—I stamped the 2nd larges Festive Flurry snowflake in Island Indigo, then die-cut with the framelits and adhered to the card front with Dimensionals. I tied a little bow with the 1/8" Silver Ribbon and adhered that with a Mini Glue Dot to the center.

Sentiment with Silver Accent—I stamped the Christmas Messages greeting in Island Indigo, then die-cut with the smallest Deco Labels Framelits die.  Although it looks white/gray in the photographs, the banner behind the sentiment is actually a strip of Silver Foil to pick up the silver from the ribbon!

I flipped the paper and added some beautiful silver embossing to the second version of this card.

I love the silver-on-silver snowflake!  EEEeeeee!

And, the silver embossing looks awesome with the Silver Foil underneath.
