Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP Cards

The Paisleys & Posies class kit includes 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs). For the first pair of cards, I showcased the gorgeous coordinating Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Papers! These papers are "special" because they have two 12" x 12" sheets that include beautiful copper foil accents.

Background Basics—I started with a 3-3/4" x 3" piece of the Night of Navy Petals & Paisleys DSP with a stunning copper foil floral pattern. It's layered on the bottom of a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Very Vanilla. The top has a 3-3/4" x 2" piece of Rich Razzleberry houndstooth pattern from the same Petals & Posies DSP.

I wrapped some 3/8" Mint Macaron ribbon from the Ribbon Trio Pack around the seam of the paper and secured the ends on the back. The layers are adhered to a Night of Navy card base.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Paisleys & Posies greeting in Rich Razzleberry ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and die-cut it with the Layering Ovals Framelits. I matted it onto a Night of Navy scallop oval die-cut from the same framelits. This element is popped up with Dimensionals.

Copper Accent—The Paisleys Framelits create beautiful coordinating die-cuts, and I especially love them for Copper Foil accents! I die-cut the pretty leaf shape and tucked it under the sentiment with a Glue Dot.

Inside Décor—The Paisleys & Posies stamp set includes two phrases that work nicely for the inside of the card. I've stamped one here in Rich Razzleberry, and added flower stamps in Night of Navy.

Two Cool—The second card from the pair uses the same basic layout in landscape mode, but features different Petals & Paisleys papers. This time the lovely multicolored paisley print is teamed up with the vanilla paper with copper foil dots.

The class kit includes 1/2 pack of the paper, so participants will be able to select their favorite patterns for their projects.

Inside Décor—The inside of this card shows the second phrase, stamped in Rich Razzleberry, along with more fun image along the bottom.
