Hi Stamping Friends!

Can I tell you a little secret?!  Sssshhh!  Don't tell anyone, but I think you're gonna love the Spring Occasions Catalog! 

 

Here's a peek at the cover that we saw at the Spring Catalog Kickoff last night!  See those pretty paper flowers on the cover?  There's a kit inside to make those!  Sweet!  The catalog is filled with some pretty awesome stuff and we didn't even get to see it all!

Last month, our Too Cool Team got together to for a shoebox swap of stocking stuffers and Rita Berning brought the makings of a super-cute snowman.  I had to take a photo of all of the parts, because it looked like a poor melted snowman.  But, we quickly brought Frosty back to life to look like this…
 
   

How completely adorable!  It's created with a foundation of three Tiny Treat Boxes! 

Snowman Face—Each of the three 2" Tiny Treat Boxes was covered with 1-3/4" squares of Whisper White card stock that were embossed with the Large Polka Dot Texture Impressions Folder.  You'll need a total of 13 squares to cover all four sides of each box, plus the top of the head.

The eyes are stamped with a Sponge Dauber in Memento Black Ink, and we used a White Gel Pen to add highlights to give them life.  We hand-cut a little nose from Pumpkin Pie card stock and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

Hat—Rita found these cute little snowman hat clips at Wal-Mart in 3-packs, and she said it's what made her decide to create this project!   We punched a 1/4" hole in the top to have something for the clip to attach to. 

 

Snowman Body—The stacked boxes are adhered to each other with Sticky Strip. Then, we wrapped a 12" to 15" piece of Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon around his neck and tied in a double knot for the scarf.  Check out the ends of the scarf—we used our Paper Snips to make fringe!  

Large Frosted Sequins make perfect-sized, shiny buttons down the front of the boxes.  And the All Is Calm Snowflake Embellishment dangles from some White Baker's Twine for the finishing touch! 

 

Best of all, ALL THREE boxes will still open, so you can fill them with LOTS of small treats like Hershey's Kisses or Nuggets!  Sweet!
