Oh So Succulent Birthday Wishes Cards

My favorite Designer Series Papers from the Occasions Catalog is the Succulent Garden DSP! I love the soft combination of Sweet Sugarplum, Old Olive, Mint Macaron Calypso Coral and Tip Top Taupe. And the floral designs are so pretty! I couldn't wait to pair up those papers with the coordinating Oh So Succulent flowers on these cards!

Background Basics—I adhered a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of the Succulent Garden DSP to a 2-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Pool Party card stock. I wrapped some Thick White Baker's Twine around that layer before adhering it to the Pear Pizzazz card base.

Circle Medallion—I cut out a Whisper White circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits, then stamped some of the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink around the edge of the shape. The sentiment is from the Avant Garden Sale-a-Bration stamp set that you can earn for FREE with a $50 order thru March 31. It's stamped in Memento Black Ink.

Sweet Succulents—I stamped the larger flower outline image from the Oh So Succulent set in Sweet Sugarplum onto Sweet Sugarplum card stock, then die-cut it with the coordinating Succulent Framelits. I also die-cut the smaller Calypso Coral and Pool Party flowers with the same die set. Those are adhered with Glue Dots and the larger flower is popped up with Dimensionals.

I finished the flowers with some Pearl Jewels.

Two Cool—I did a horizontal version, and this time I used the Succulent Garden DSP with the Mint Macaron floral pattern. Very nice! I also frayed the ends of the twine.
