Hi Stamping Friends!
I had the best weekend hanging out with some of my Too Cool Team members at Ronda Wade's Creative Convention!
A big shout-out to Pam Bryan, Kathe Madsen, Elaine Emerick, Rita Berning, Sara Baker and Darla Eigenschink who made this weekend so much fun!
Now, it's time to play a little catch-up! I had meant to post last week's LIVE Class projects before I left town, but I was running out of time and there was so much to share from the class that I didn't want to skimp on the details. Thank you so much for your patience!
Today, I'm sharing the details of the first pair of one-sheet-wonder ensembles I shared from the Holiday Catalog. I'll post the second two sets of projects from the Annual Catalog tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow…
It's my birthday tomorrow…and it's a BIG one! Stay tuned for a little something special as my gift to you! I'll have a special birthday contest on my Too Cool Stamping VIP Group, too. Don't miss out—make sure you request to join the VIP Group if you haven't already!

Monster Bash One-Sheet Wonder Projects
Have you ever tried a one-sheet wonder set of projects? Do you know what that is? A one-sheet wonder class starts with a sheet of 12" x 12" piece of Designer Series Paper (or stamped cardstock) that's cut up into pieces and used on several projects to create a coordinated ensemble. On my LIVE Class last week, I shared how to create four projects from a single sheet. The best part about these projects is that you can use them as a template for any DSP from any season or occasion! It's perfect for any holiday, a birthday, or a special gift.
Designer Series Paper Pieces—For these projects, cut your 12" x 12" DSP into the following pieces (in order):
- 9-1/2" x 12 (for box)
- 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" (for card #1)
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" (for card #2)
- 2" x 2" (for large tag)
- 1" remaining strip (for box tag)
Gift Box—The first project is a large gift box that begins with a 9-1/2" x 12" piece of your DSP sheet. You can watch how to make the project step-by-step on the LIVE Class Replay linked at the bottom of this post.
- Score the DSP along the short side at the 2" and 7-1/2" marks.
- Score along the long side at the 1", 3", 6-1/2" and 8-1/2" marks.
- Fold on all score lines and crease with Bone Folder.
- Snip along all of the score marks on the long side from the edge until the intersection of the score line.
- Cut off the two 1" x 2" corner panels.
- Add Tear & Tape Adhesive on the middle two flaps on each side, placing it right along-side the score line fold.
- Assemble by attaching the larger sticky side flap to the smaller sticky bottom flap (which will be on the inside of the box).
- Next, adhere the other side flap. Repeat on other side of the box to complete assembly.
The box is a really nice size for small gifts measuring 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 2"! You can fill it up with candy, a package of homemade cookies, lotions, gift cards, cash, jewelry, hair accessories, small toys, votive candles and much more.
Finishing Touches—I tied the box shut with a piece of the new Basic Black Scalloped Ribbon. Next, I created a cute little coordinating tag using the 1" leftover piece from DSP. I die-cut a Whisper White Stitched Nested Labels shape (approx. 1-3/4" wide) and folded it in half for the tag base. Next I adhered the flip-side of the DSP piece and trimmed the edges flush. I stamped the Spooktacular Bash sentiment in Memento Black Ink onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock, then die-cut it with the Ornate Frames dies and popped it up onto the tag. It's the perfect phrase, don't you think? I finished by punching a 1/8" hole and tying the tag onto the box with Whisper White Baker's Twine.
Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Spooktacular Bash stamp set and the Ornate Frames dies together in a Bundle to save 10%.
Creepy Card Background Basics—I started with a Basic Black card base, then texture embossed a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black cardstock with the Stylish Scroll folder and adhered it to the background. I added the next DSP piece, 2-1/2" x 5-1/4", to the background.
Creepy Focal Point—I stamped the Spooktacular Bash vampire image in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White, then colored it with Stampin' Blends Markers. I used Pumpkin Pie Light, Smoky Slate Light, Real Red Light and Granny Apply Green Light. I die-cut the shape with Ornate Frames dies, then die-cut the curly Black frame and layered them with Dimensionals. It's adhered with SNAIL to a large Stitched Nested Labels die-cut.
Next, I added some of the Black Scalloped Ribbon across the bottom of the die-cut, securing the ends on the back with Tear & Tape. I finished by stamping a Spooktacular Bash sentiment in Memento Black onto another Pumpkin Pie Ornate Frames die-cut. It's popped up with Dimensionals, too.
Ghoul Friends Background Basics—This card also starts with a Basic Black card base, but I changed the textured background to Basic Gray. I adhered the next DSP piece, measuring 2-1/2" x 3-3/4", onto a 2-5/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic Black, then popped it up.
Ghoulish Focal Point—I stamped the mummy image and colored him with the Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Pumpkin Pie Blends. It's layered like the first card. The larger sentiment matches up to another size of the cool Ornate Frames dies.
Be Scary Tag—I used the final 2" x 2" piece on the front of another tag. It starts with a 2" x 3" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock that's punched on the top with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch. I added the DSP, then another scrolling Basic Black die-cut from the Ornate Frames. I stamped the Spooktacular Bash sentiment into Whisper White, die-cut it and popped it up with Dimensionals. It's finished with some Black Scalloped Ribbon tied through the tag hole.

Let It Snow One-Sheet Wonder Projects
You can use ANY Designer Series Paper for these one-sheet wonder projects for an amazing ensemble of coordinated projects! I tried a second version using items from the Let It Snow suite and they turned out adorable! (I'll have two more DSP versions on my blog tomorrow!)
Gift Box—I created this Let It Snow DSP holiday version using the same directions from the first Monster Bash project above. This time, it's tied closed with the Real Red Curly Ribbon.
Box Tag—I cut some of the hats from the two corner leftover pieces and popped them up on this tag with Dimensionals. I also added some Red Rhinestone accents.
The Snowman Season stamp set conveniently has a "to" and "from" stamp that's perfect for tags for any occasion!
Merry Christmas Background Basics—I started with a Coastal Cabana card base, then texture embossed a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock with the Stylish Scroll folder and adhered it to the background. I added the next DSP piece, 2-1/2" x 5-1/4", to the background and tied some Real Red Curly Ribbon around the card front.
Snowman Focal Point—I stamped the Snowman Season image in Memento Black ink onto a large Whisper White Stitched Nested Labels die-cut. It's colored in with Light Bermuda Bay, Light Real Red, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Pool Party and Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Markers. I stamped the Snowman Season sentiment in Memento Black onto a 3-1/2" x 5/8" strip of Pool Party, fishtail cut the ends and attached it with SNAIL across the bottom of the label. I popped up the label onto the card front with Dimensionals, then added a few Red Rhinestones to the bottom. Don't forget a little Wink of Stella glimmer on the snowman for some extra sparkle!
Heartwarming Snowman Background Basics—This card begins with a Real Red card base and a Whisper White Stylish Scroll textured background. I adhered the DSP piece onto a 2-5/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Real Red, added some ribbon, then popped it up.
Snowman Focal Point—I stamped the snowman image in Memento Black and colored him with the Pool Party, Smoky Slate and Pumpkin Pie Blends. It's die-cut with the Layering Circles dies and layered onto a Coastal Cabana scalloped circle die-cut using the same dies. It's popped up and shimmered with Wink of Stella, too.
Let It Snow Tag—I decorated the Coastal Cabana tag with the final 2" x 2" DSP. The Snowman Season sentiment was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink onto Whisper White and die-cut with the Ornate Frames die. I also stamped some snowflakes in Pool Party ink, stamped off once. It's layered onto a 2-1/4" x 1/2" piece of Real Red with fishtail cut ends, then popped up with Dimensionals. I finished it with some Red Curly Ribbon tied through the tag hole.
