Bloom & Grow Simply Wonderful Cards
The beautiful floral sprays in the Bloom & Grow stamp set are perfect for coloring with Stampin' Blends Markers! And, the coordinating dies make it so easy to cut out and create a lovely focal point. These cards were inspired by Heather Guerera.
Cool Card Base—This card begins with a vertically folded 4-1/4" x 11" Coastal Cabana card base, scored at the 5-1/2" mark. I used the Budding Blooms dies to create a decorative border at the bottom of the card front, allowing the sentiment from the inside to show through. So cool!
Die-Cut Border—To make the border, I inserted the bottom of the card front through the coordinating die so that the "blade" portion of the die would be on the front and the other side of the die is on the back. Run it through the die-cutting machine positioned like this with the card base open.
Background Basics—I embossed a 4" x 3-1/8" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. It's adhered with Tear & Tape Adhesive and SNAIL Adhesive. Don't forget, in order to use the NEW 3D Embossing Folders from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, you need to use the Embossing Plate as an adaptor to make up the thickness with these skinnier folders. If you are using a 3D Folder from the old catalog, then you just need a standard cutting pad.
I tied a Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon around the top of the card front for some soft, contrasting color.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Bloom & Grow sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink onto the bottom of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White for the inside of the card.
Focal Point Floral Spray—I stamped the Bloom & Grow floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White and colored it in with Stampin' Blends Markers. The flowers were colored with Dark Pool Party and Light Bermuda Bay; leaves in Old Olive and berries in Light Calypso Coral. I finished the blooms with some Wink of Stella sparkle, then die-cut and popped up the image with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—I finished up with a few Glitter Enamel Dots in Coastal Cabana for more sparkle. So pretty!
Two Cool—Peggy created this card with a vertically-folded card base without the die-cut border and it's still SO pretty! Her card base is Highland Heather. She stamped in Highland Heather onto the bottom of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White, then added a 4" x 4" Gorgeous Grape cardstock piece that's embossed with the Tufted 3D Folder. She tied some Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the top.
Focal Point—Her floral image in colored with Purple Posy Combo, Highland Heather Dark and Granny Apple Green Light Stampin' Blends. She finished up with a few Gorgeous Grape Enamel Dots.
