. Happy Birthday Celebrate Cards
I created this fun birthday card weeks ago and by the time I was getting around to blogging about it, the Birthday Dies from the Coordinating Product Release had become non-orderable due to backorder shipment delays in China. Unfortunately, the dies never came back in, but I just had to share this card because I love it so much!
Background Basics—The first of my two-toned combinations begins with a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock, embossed with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder and mounted onto a Bermuda Bay card base. I added a 5-1/2" x 1" strip of the now sold out Golden Honey Designer Series Paper across the lower half.
FREE During Sale-a-Bration—The Happy Birthday To You stamp set is FREE with a $50 and the Stone Embossing Folder is FREE with a $100 order (along with the Power of Hope stamp set) during Sale-a-Bration thru March 31, 2020.
Sweet Sentiment—Next, I stamped the Happy Birthday To You sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a Whisper White Stitched So Sweetly scallop rectangle die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Birthday Blooms—I stamped the Happy Birthday To You cake image in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock then colored in the flower images on the cake with Stampin' Blends Markers. I used Pool Party Dark, Bermuda Bay Light, Granny Apple Green Light, Poppy Parade Dark and Mango Melody Light for coloring. I die-cut the flower with the now sold out Birthday Dies. If you don't already own them, it's easy to fussy-cut them with your super-sharp Paper Snips! I popped up the flowers, then added some Pool Party jewels from the Holiday Rhinestones pack.
Two Cool—My second version starts with a Lovely Lipstick card base and Melon Mambo Stone texture.
Background Stamping—I colored in these blooms with the Dark Flirty Flamingo and Light Lovely Lipstick Blends and added some Noble Peacock gems.
Three Cool—I couldn't stop there! I love this design so much and I wanted to experiment with more two-tone backgrounds. This one has a Blackberry Bliss card base paired with a Rich Razzleberry Stone texture. The flowers were colored with Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss and I added pink Noble Peacock jewels colored with the Rich Razzleberry Blends marker.
Four Cool—My card base is Cherry Cobbler and the texture is in Real Red. I colored the flowers in the same red colors and added some Pretty Peacock buds. Merry Merlot jewels from the Holiday Rhinestones pack.
Five Cool—Here's a lighter version of my original card with Coastal Cabana as the base and Pool Party for the texture. The flowers were in Pool Party and the matching gems are from the Holiday Rhinestones.
Six Cool—The card base is Calypso Coral and the background is Grapefruit Grove. The flowers were colored with Light Pumpkin Pie and Dark Calypso Coral and the Mango Melody jewels are from the Holiday Rhinestones.
Seven Cool—Oooh purple! The base is in Gorgeous Grape and the background is Highland Heather. I colored the blooms in Highland Heather Blends with some Rich Razzleberry buds. I also added grape jewels from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones.
Eight Cool—This one has a Pretty Peacock base and a Mint Macaron texture and the flowers are colored with the same colors. I added Pretty Peacock jewels from the Noble Peacock pack.
Nine Cool—Poppy Parade is the card base on this version with Calypso Coral for the background. The flowers are colored with the same Blends and Mango Melody buds. Mango Melody jewels are from the Holiday Rhinestones pack.
Ten Cool—My final card has a Pumpkin Pie base and Mango Melody background with flowers done in the same colors and Mango Melody Holiday Rhinestones.
