I challenged myself to do a holiday card in non-traditional holiday colors this week. Well, as it turns out, it wasn't much of a challenge!
You see, with the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set, it doesn't matter what colors you use…it always looks Too Cool and very festive! I tried Soft Suede, Elegant Eggplant and Island Indigo with shimmering accents from the Champagne Glimmer Paper. It looks so rich and regal!
The Elegant Eggplant piece is texture embossed with the Lacy Brocade Impressions Folder, then trimmed with a Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch border in the Champagne Glimmer Paper. I LOVE this new color of Glimmer Paper! It's kind of a mix between gold and copper, like a rosy-gold—gorgeous!
The Holiday Ornaments Framelits make quick die-cuts for any of the Ornament Keepsakes shapes…it's a must-have if you get the stamp set! Don't forget, you can save 15% if you order them together in the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle.
I decorated the ornaments with Champagne Glimmer Paper accents punched from the Boho Blossom Punch, and topped with Large and regular Pearl Jewels.
The ornaments are hanging from more strips of the Champagne Glimmer Paper, adhered with Multipurpose Glue. The sentiment is from Greetings of the Season—another must-have—and die-cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.
Uh oh! My Framelit must have shifted while I was die-cutting that second ornament. Does that ever happen to you? TIP: Keep the Framelits in place on your cutting pad by using the temporary adhesive from a Post-It note. Just lay one or two over the edges of the Framelit, and it holds it in place as you run it through the Big Shot. Re-use them until the tackiness is gone.
I tried the "debossed" side of the Lacy Brocade texture on this background. Mixing' it up!
