Ornate Garden Golden Panel Thanks Cards

The Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper has several sheets with beautiful floral and decorative gold foil patterns. I created today's cards to spotlight those gold accents with golden layers!

Background Basics—This card begins with a standard 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Rococo Rose card base. I layered a 4" x 5-1/4" Rococo Rose piece, embossed with the Ornate Floral texture, onto the card front. I wrapped some Rococo Rose Gathered Ribbon, with pretty golden/copper shimmer, around the card front into a double-knot.

Sponged DSP—I used Sponge Daubers to add color to a 2" x 5" piece of the White & Gold floral pattern from the Ornate Garden DSP. I lightly sponged Rococo Rose, Calypso Coral and Mango Melody over the flowers, starting in the center of the blooms and rubbing in circles outward to spread the color. Once the flowers had color, I filled in the remaining white spots with Mango Melody.

Next, I die-cut a Gold Foil scalloped rectangle panel and adhered the floral DSP to it. It's mounted onto the card front with SNAIL.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Ornate Thanks sentiment in Rococo Rose ink onto Whisper White cardstock and added a Calypso Coral coordinating sentiment underneath it. It's punched out with the Story Label Punch. To create the gold-framed top and bottom, I punched another Story Label Punch in Gold Foil, cut it in half length-wise, and adhered each half positioned a little above and below the original shape. The sentiment is popped up with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—I finished by adding a few gold Metallic Pearls, or you could use the Gilded Gems from the Ornate Garden Suite!

Two Cool—The second card begins with a Basic Black card base and Basic Black Ornate Floral textured layer. I wrapped a Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon around the card front, this time.

I cut the Mint Macaron & Gold Foil patterned sheet from the Ornate Garden DSP pack onto the Gold Foil panel this time. So pretty. I added some Gilded Gems on the bottom of this panel.

Sweet Sentiment—I finished by stamping an Ornate Thanks greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the smaller phrase underneath in Mint Macaron ink. So elegant! What do you think?
