I'm excited about my workshop today! It's being co-hosted by two fabulous ladies who have been stamping with me since I started with Stampin' Up! Kris and Brandie are an absolute delight to stamp with and you'll rarely find one without the other! They are the definition of BFFs!
Today's Two Cool cards were created with Brandie in mind because she is expecting a baby girl, and she challenged me to create a cute card from the Packed For Everything stamps. I think I'm up to the challenge!
I CASEd this from a Leadership swap that I featured on my Sunday Showcase—Packed For Everything. Awww! That little baby bear is so adorable!
I inked the Packed For Baby stamp in Pear Pizzazz and stamped repeatedly on the diagonal for a pretty background pattern. It was surprisingly easy to line up by just eye-balling, but you could always use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for precise alignment.
The bear heart focal point was fun to create! I used the Basic Black Marker to color the bear image only on the stamp to isolate that image before stamping onto Very Vanilla card stock. Miss Bear is colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and a Blender Pen, then die cut with the Hearts Framelits.
I layered the bear onto a Pear Pizzazz Full Heart punch, then a Very Vanilla Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit heart, then another Hearts Framelit heart that was embossed with the Adorning Accents hearts embossing folder. Whew! That's a lot of hearts!
I topped the bear heart with a cute "baby" tag created with the Tiny Tags stamps and Jewelry Tag Punch. Add a little Rhinestone Jewel bling and some Pear Pizzazz Pleated Ribbon and I think Brandie has to admit that it's Too Cute!
But wait, I said TWO Cool cards…
I also created a second version that is stepped up with some Dazzling Diamonds!
Woohoo! Look at all that sparkle! You should see it in real life! Wow!
I had to glitter up Ms Bear, too!
I used the 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere Dazzling Diamonds to the bear image. The background glitter was adhered with a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet!
Dazzling Diamonds With Multipurpose Adhesive
- Cut a size of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to fit your card stock
- Peel off the backing and apply to the front of the card stock (the stamped image)
- Burnish well with a Bone Folder
- Peel away the remaining backing, and set aside backing paper
- Sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds over the adhesive
- Lay backing paper over the top and burnish again to set the glitter
Oh my! I'm going to have to try this awesome sparkly background on some more projects! I love that effect and it's so easy (and much less messy) with the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet. Too Cool!
