Hi Stamping Friends!

It's "Last Thursdays" card class week!  If you're in the Fort Wayne, IN, area, I'd love for you to join us at our monthly card class!  This month, we're focusing heavily on fall-themed cards and some fun techniques like watercoloring, two-step stamping, and Eclipse lettering!  Get all the class details by clicking on the link under the class photo below.  Today, I'm sharing one of the card designs from the class!

Pumpkin Harvest - two cool

Painted Autumn Pumpkin Harvest Cards

The images on some of the recent Designer Series Paper packs are so pretty that they make fabulous accents on stamped projects!  I generally love true stamping best, but these pretty pumpkins are just so lovely!  It makes for an fabulous fall card that assembles in under 10 minutes!  We'll be making this card at my "Last Thursdays" card class on September 28, 2017!

Pumpkin Harvest - thank goodness
CASEd from Lisa Pretto at Ink Big Academy Stamping.

Background Basics—I started this card by embossing the 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla layer with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder.  I like the "debossed" side the best, so that's the side I faced up.  The full strand of Jute Twine is a little too thick for my taste, so I unraveled it and used only one of the three strands that make up the twine.  I wrapped it around the embossed layer, adhering the ends on the back, then mounted the layer onto a Very Vanilla Thick card stock base.  The Jute Twine bow is tied separately and added on later with a Glue Dot.

Circle Sentiment—I die-cut a circle from Very Vanilla card stock with the Layering Circles Framelits.  I stamped a sentiment from the Gourd Goodness stamp set in Early Espresso, then popped up the circle over the Jute with Dimensionals.

Pretty Pumpkins & Accents—I hand-cut the trio of pumpkins from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper, then attached them to the circle with SNAIL.  I punched a couple of Leaf Punch shapes from Old Olive and attached them with Glue Dots, then added that bow.  I finished by adding a few Pearl Jewels.

Pumpkin Harvest - thanks a bunch

Two Cool—I changed up the second version and liked it a little better, so it's the one we'll be creating at my class.

Background Basics—The embossed background has raised leaves this time.  I cut two strips of DSP from the Painted Autumn Pack: one is 5" x 3/4" and the other is 4-1/2" x 1/2".  I fish-tailed the ends and adhered them with SNAIL.

Pumpkin Collage Changes—This time I used a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die-cut and a sentiment from Wood Words.  The leaves are in Pear Pizzazz.
