Hi Stamping Friends!

I am thoroughly enjoying the Painted Harvest stamp set! Today, I'm sharing two more cards from my October Stamp-of-the-Month class kit featuring this awesome stamp set! Not only is it fabulous for fall-themed cards, that pretty flower can be used throughout the year for birthdays, thanks, thinking of you and sympathy cards!

The other thing I love about it is experimenting with different color combinations for the flowers. I've designed a few of my class projects to allow you to stamp the flowers in any colors you like best! Today's neutral color cards provide a beautiful background for any of your favorite color flowers!

Painted Harvest Sentiment Spotlight Cards

I love the popped up square frame that highlights the sentiment on these cards. It almost looks like a mini shadow box and it's so easy to create! Add a Painted Harvest sunflower in the color of your choice and it's a lovely way to add cheer to someone's day!

Background Basics—I embossed the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder, then adhered it to a 4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black mat.

Gingham Ribbon—This is the first time I've used the new 1/2" Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon and it is wonderful! I love the feel of it, how easy it ties and the touch of "country" that it adds to the project! So sweet! I tied the ribbon around the background layers, then adhered them to a Smoky Slate card base with SNAIL.

Spotlighted Sentiment—I stamped the Painted Harvest sentiment onto a 2-3/8" square piece of Whisper White. To make the frame, I first die-cut a large Stitched Shapes square in Old Olive card stock. Then, I ran the square through the Big Shot with the next smallest size of Layering Squares Framelits dies. The Foam Strips are the perfect size to pop up the frame to create a faux shadow box.

Sweet Sunflower—I stamped the smaller, detailed Painted Harvest sunflower image in Rich Razzleberry ink onto Whisper White. Then, I stamped the larger sunflower image over the top twice in Berry Burst, turning it 180° for the second time to really fill in the petals. The center is stamped in Smoky Slate and I stamped twice with the dots image in Smoky Slate, as well. I used my super-sharp Paper Snips to fussy-cut the flower, then popped it up with Dimensionals.

Leaves & Finishing Touches—I stamped the solid leaf shape in Pear Pizzazz and stamped over the top in the detailed leaf image in Old Olive. The Leaf Punch makes it easy to cut out these shapes! They are attached with Glue Dots. I finished by adding a few floating Pearl Jewels.

Two Cool—The second version has a Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder texture and I moved the sentiment square to the other side.

Sweet Sunflower—This time, I stamped the flower detailed stamp in Tangerine Tango, then added two larger flower stamps in Peekaboo Peach. So pretty! Which color combination will you try?
