Hi Stamping Friends,
Each time we have a new Stampin' Up! catalog released, I enjoy swapping with some of my stamping friends from around the country. With the 2nd Release of Sale-a-Bration items and the upcoming Sale-a-Bration Coordination products coming out in March, we decided to do another quick swap featuring those products.
Today, I'm sharing a couple of those swaps with some striking similarities, making them two cool!

Painted Seasons Amazing Birthday Frame Card
The Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper features imagery that works all through the years. I love this fall-themed paper filled with cute little mushrooms, acorns and leaves. Poppy Parade is such an awesome color for autumn, too! Sandy Carlson created this pretty card, combining some lovely layered elements.
Background Basics—Sandy began by adhering a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of the Painted Seasons DSP onto an Early Espresso card base. Next she embossed a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Poppy Parade cardstock with the Sale-a-Bration 2nd Release Country Floral Texture Impressions Folder. I love how she used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to create a Whisper White frame. The outer frame is cut with a 4-3/8" x 3" rectangle framelit, and the inner window was cut with a 3-3/4" x 2-3/16" rectangle framelit. It's adhered onto the textured layer with Tear & Tape Adhesive, then it's all popped up with some Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—Sandy finished the card by stamping the Humming Along sentiment in Early Espresso onto Whisper White cardstock and punching it out with the NEW Story Label Punch that will be available in the month of March. It's popped up with more Dimensionals, then accented with a single Rhinestone Jewel. Love this card, Sandy!

Painted Seasons Amazing Birthday Bow Card
I received a second swap card that used many similar elements, so it's my "two cool" version for today! Dawn Olchefske created this pretty card with a few stepped up elements.
Background Basics—Dawn started with a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Whisper White that she adhered to a Poppy Parade card base. She added a two strips of the Painted Seasons DSP across the white foundation: a 4" x 1-1/4" of the mushroom pattern and a 4" x 3/4" strip of the back side of the same patterned sheet.
Sweet Sentiment—Like Sandy's card, Dawn stamped the Humming Along greeting in Early Espresso ink onto Whisper White and punched it with the Story Label Punch. She punched a second Poppy Parade Story Label shape, cut it in half lengthwise and adhered the halves to the back of the sentiment layer so that they are peeking out from under the top and bottom. It's a fantastic way to frame a shape with a little color!
Sponged Leaf—I love Dawn's leaf accent! She inked up the Painted Seasons branch in Poppy Parade ink, then sponged some Mango Melody ink onto the edges of the leaves with a Sponge Dauber. She also used a Stampin' Write Marker to add some Early Espresso ink down the center branch before stamping the image onto Whisper White. It's die-cut with the Four Seasons Framelits, another coordinating product coming out in March! Dawn attached the leaf with Glue Dots.
Finishing Touches—Dawn tied a cute little bow with the Poppy Parade Texture Weave Ribbon and attached that with Glue Dots. She also added a single Rhinestone Jewel, just like Sandy did on her card.
