Painted Seasons Vertical Gate Fold Cards
Today, I'm sharing another fun-fold card featuring the beautiful Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper! This is another awesome card style that works great with any of the Stampin' Up! double-sided Designer Series Papers to showcase both sides of these beautiful papers.
Card Basics—This card begins with a 4" x 12" piece of Painted Season DSP, which you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a $50 order. I scored the paper along the 12" side at the 2-1/2", 7-3/4", 10-3/4" marks. I folded on the score lines with my favorite pattern to the outside to create the card, then folded back the smallest panel on the end to give a peek at the inside coordinating pattern. This card was then mounted onto a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" quarter sheet of Pool Party card stock using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Card Trim—I adhered that small panel flap to the card using some SNAIL adhesive, then wrapped some Grapefruit Grove Nature's Twine around the card front twice and tied it into a double-knot.
Sweet Sentiment—Like the two cards I shared yesterday, I started by stamping part of the Well Said sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes Framelits die-cut. Next, I die-cut the Lemon Lime Twist word with the coordinating Well Written Framelits and adhered it to the circle with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
Two-Tone Bloom—I inked the Painted Seasons flower stamp in Pool Party ink, then dabbed on some Bermuda Bay ink on the center of the stamp with a Sponge Dauber before stamping it onto Whisper White cardstock. I love the darker detailed look it gives the flower. It's die-cut with the Four Seasons Framelits and attached to the circle with SNAIL. The whole focal point was popped up onto the top card flap with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—I decorated the sentiment with a few Artisan Pearls. So pretty!
Inside The Card—I added a Well Said phrase in Shaded Spruce ink and another Painted Seasons flower in Pool Party ink. The message area is a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Two Cool—My second card features another pattern from the Painted Seasons paper. I love these pretty blooms! It's cut and scored just like the first card and mounted onto a Shaded Spruce quarter-sheet card base.
Sweet Sentiment—This time I bypassed the stamping and just added some Well Written die-cuts in Poppy Parade cardstock.
Beautiful Bloom—I inked the Painted Seasons flower in Grapefruit Grove ink first, then dabbed some Poppy Parade ink directly onto the center of the flower (on the rubber stamp) with a Sponge Dauber. I wanted to make this flower look more like the ones on the DSP, so I wanted to get that darker center. I tried adding Early Espresso color with a dauber and with ink and a Blender Pen, but neither of them look right to me. I finally remembered that the Daisy Delight stamp set had a similar flower center, so I stamped with that in Early Espresso ink, then used a Blender Pen to blend out the harsh stamped lines. Tada! I thought it turned out pretty good!
Inside The Card—The inside message area has a complementary Well Said phrase stamped in Early Espresso, accented with another Painted Seasons bloom.
