Painterly Pears Congratulations Card

Grab some Sponge Daubers and give these Perfectly Pears images a dab of pretty pear color combinations. The detailed, two-step images make it so easy to get awesome results every time!

Background Basics

I started by adhering a 3″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper down the left side of the Gray Granite card front. I also adhered a 1″ x 5-1/4″ strip in a complementary pattern on the right side. I laid down a line of Tear & Tape Adhesive down the seam of the papers, then adhered the Mossy Meadow & Gold Ribbon, gold side up, onto the tape, trimming the ends. The ends frayed a bit when I cut them and I really liked that look.

Focal Point Arch

I die-cut a Basic White Everyday Arches shape and popped it up with Dimensionals over the ribbon. Next, I die-cut a Basic Beige cross-hatch element, cut it in half, then attached the two pieces on either side of the arch. I’ll be placing the stamped image over the top.

Perfect Pairs

I stamped the Perfectly Pairs twin pair image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White. Next, I used Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the stem in Pecan Pie and leaves in Mossy Meadow. For the pair fill image, I used Sponge Daubers to sponge Darling Duckling ink on the top and middle of the image, then Calypso Coral ink to the bottom and outer edges. Then, I stamped the fill image into the outline…ooooh, that blending looks amazing! I die-cut with the coordinating dies and popped it up with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment & Finishing Touches

I stamped the Perfectly Pairs sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a Petal Pink Stylish Shapes banner die-cut. It’s popped up, as well. I finished with a few Old Olive Low Profile Sparkle Dots. What a lovely card for a wedding!
