Hi Stamping Friends!
I'm loving today's two cool projects so, so much! I love the colors! I love the copper! But, most of all, I love the paisleys! All the details are below!
But first, a programming note…
October Countdown To Christmas Date Change—I need to change my October Cookie Cutter Christmas class date from Saturday, October 1 to Sunday, October 2 due to an unexpected commitment. Please mark this change on your calendar. I'll have more details about this class later this week!

Paisleys & Posies Maple Leaf Card
One of my favorite collections in the Holiday Catalog is the fall-themed Petals & Paisleys suite. I love the autumn color combination of Delightful Dijon & Cajun Craze, along with a fresh pop of Night of Navy & Rich Razzleberry. I also love the pretty designs in the Paisleys & Posies stamp set and the coordinating Paisley Framelits. I combined some of the best elements from them all on today's cards!
Background Basics—The background starts with a 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla embossed with the Softly Falling Texture Impressions Folder. It's then matted onto a 4-7/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Tip Top Taupe. I adhered the layers to the Night of Navy card base with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Paisleys & Posies greeting in Night of Navy onto a 4-3/4" x 1" piece of Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper. I like the subtle look of the words on the darker background. TIP: When stamping on DSP, you'll want to let it absorb & dry for a moment. There is a slicker finish on the paper and fresh ink may smear easily.
Maple Leaf—The pièce de résistance of this card is the gorgeously embossed maple leaf! I die-cut the shape from Night of Navy card stock with the Leaflets Framelits. Then, I stamped several different Paisleys & Posies images over the entire leaf in clear, sticky VersaMark ink. I sprinkled Copper Embossing Powder of the top and heated it with the Heat Tool until glossy & smooth. Talk about OOOoooohs & AAaaahhhs! I popped the leaf with Dimensionals onto the card front.
TIP: I recommend rubbing the Embossing Buddy over the card stock before stamping to eliminate static and finger oils that cause the powder to stick where you don't want it to.
Ironically, after I had made the discovery about how awesome copper looks on Night of Navy, I realized that the Petals & Paisleys DSP has a specialty sheet featuring the same copper-on-navy patterns. Haha! I could have just used the dang paper! LOL!
Finishing Touches—I die-cut the Copper Foil leaf with the help of the Paisleys Framelits. It looks like a real metal trinket! It's adhered with a Glue Dot. I topped it off with a Night of Navy Baker's Twine bow, also adhered with a Glue Dot.
Bundle It & Save!—Purchase the stamp set and framelits together in the Paisleys & Posies Bundle! You'll save 10% off the cost of purchasing the items separately.
Two Cool—I couldn't resist trying the same design with a color change-up! This time, I changed the texture embossed background to Night of Navy and made the card base Rich Razzleberry.
Sweet Sentiment—The sentiment was stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink on Very Vanilla instead.
Maple Leaf—The copper-embossed leaf was done on Rich Razzleberry card stock. Oh, that's pretty, too!
