Today, I'm trying out another new Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. There are so many seasonal sets that I absolutely adore in that catalog and I knew that I would love the elegant look of the Evergreen set, so it was a must-have for me.

These two cool cards are the perfect combination of simple and stunning! There's shimmer, texture and style…and best of all, it's easily reproducible for mass-producing holiday cards!
This photo is a little dark, but I wanted to capture the beautiful Pewter Embossing on the tree. It really shines!
See what I mean! Evergreen is a two-step stamp set, so I stamped the bold image in Midnight Muse, then added the Pewter embossing on top.
If you're using the new Firm-Foam Ink Pads, the ink is so "juicy" that the first stamped image may still be too damp to do embossing over the top. If you don't get the image completely dry, your embossing powder will stick to the first impression, in addition to the VersaMark ink on the second stamped image.
TIP: Use the new dual-temperature Heat Tool on the low setting to dry your image completely. All it takes is about 30-45 seconds. As an extra precaution, run an Embossing Buddy pad over the image to soak up any residual moisture.
I love the layers! I added a Scallop Edge Border of Silver Glimmer Paper under a Basic Gray piece that's texture embossed with the Lacy Brocade Impressions Folder.
The curled-up corner detail and cute White Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon bow add the perfect finishing touches!
Other details: The stamped Whisper White card stock is also lightly sponged around the edges with Basic Gray ink. The Greetings of the Season sentiment is stamped in Midnight Muse ink. And the Silver Glimmer Paper star is die-cut from the Holiday Collection Framelits.
Yep, this one is definitely in the running to be included in my Holiday Card Stamp-A-Stack on November 18th! (Mark your calendar—more details coming soon!)
