Peggy Tassler shared a fun & creative idea with me recently that I thought was brilliant! While she was creating some of her Christmas cards, she used some of the leftovers and scraps to create a 3×3" "mini" version of the card to match! The mini isn't finished yet, it's actually a card front that can be used to eventually decorate a 3×3" mini note card, a gift tag, a gift card holder, a traditional size card, or even mini pizza box treat! The size of the piece gives it versatility to be used for a variety of purposes, depending on what she needs as she's packaging up gifts for the season. The best part is that they match the larger card, so you combine them to bring a decorative theme to your gift package! Talk about a fun twist on the Two Cool philosophy! I LOVE this idea!
Card Basics—Peggy's Night in Bethlehem card starts with a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Pacific Point cardstock, stamped with a Night In Bethlehem sentiment and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. It's mounted onto a Whisper White card base. She used the Bethlehem Edgelits to create a double-layer of the cityscape, with the front layer popped up with Dimensionals. The Mary & Joseph image was stamped in Pacific Point, die-cut with the edgelits and popped up, too. She added a white Bethlehem Edgelits star in the sky and a Silver Foil star from Starlight Thinlits on top.
Bundle It & Save—Purchase the Night In Bethlehem stamp set and Bethlehem Edgelits together in a bundle to save 10%. While both items are carrying over into the new year, the discounted bundle price will not! Order the bundle by January 2!
Double Two Cool—Peggy created a second Night In Bethlehem version, this time starting with a Night of Navy card base. The 5-1/4" x 4" Whisper White layer is stamped with a Night of Navy sentiment, as well as Smoky Slate stars in the sky.
She die-cut the city from the white layer, then popped it up using the eclipse technique. The Mary & Joseph image is stamped in Night of Navy, and the Star of Bethlehem is topped with a Rhinestone Jewel.
