Perennial Lavender Class Tonight!

Use Host Code X3TSFGTG For Perennial Lavender Class

Friends, I’m so excited to share my Painted Lavender Class with you tonight! I’ve had this class designed since early January and every time I wanted to share it, one of the key products was not available: the stamp set, the dies, the paper, the gems. Thankfully, all of the items I’m sharing in the class are now available (fingers crossed), so it’s a GO!

The whole Perennial Lavender suite has been VERY popular, so if you want to order, I would do so quickly. Currently, the Butterfly Paper Accents are not available (it’s always something!) and they will be back in stock around April 8. I’m not using them on my class projects, but they are so fun!

Also, the “Last Chance” Retiring List will be released on March 18. We know the DSP will be on the list and if any other items from the collection are retiring, they may sell out quickly.

Today, I’m sharing two awesome Painted Lavender swaps cards that I received. These will NOT be part of the class, but they give you a taste of this beautiful collection with some easily duplicatable fun-fold layouts!

I’ll be featuring the Perennial Lavender Suite of products, which has been SO popular they can’t keep items in stock! Don’t miss the gorgeous images & die-cuts, the beautiful Designer Series Paper and those sparkly Purple Fine Shimmer Gems!

Rhonda Bassler sent me this beautiful card with a unique gate-fold opening. Her card has a short left gate and larger right gate and the focal point is on the right gate. That means the card opens opposite of the traditional card style—an unexpected and fun feature!

Rhonda’s card begins with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at the 1-1/2″ and 5-3/4″ marks. Remember to align the gates so that they meet up flush before using your Bone Folder to put the final creases on the card base. She added a 1-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper on the short left gate.

Rhonda adhered a 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Perennial Lavender DSP to a 3″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock, then attached it to the right front gate with SEAL Adhesive.

I just love how fun it is to make a floral bouquet with the Painted Lavender Bundle! Rhonda started by inking the Painted Lavender large floral bunch in Highland Heather ink, then sponging on some Berry Burst in with a Sponge Dauber. She also stamped a coordinating group of stems in Shaded Spruce ink. Both images are die-cut with the Painted Lavender Bundle. She also die-cut a Lost Lagoon branch and floral stems in Berry Burst and Gorgeous Grape with the same die set.

She adhered the Lost Lagoon branch first with Liquid Glue, then popped up the stamped images with Dimensionals over the top. She finished by gluing the final two die-cuts on top.

Rhonda stamped a Perennial Postage sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink onto a 1″ strip of Basic White cardstock that was trimmed on the ends with the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. It’s popped up over the stems.

She finished by adding a large, floppy Linen Thread bow to the stems with a Glue Dot, then adding a couple of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems for sparkle.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card, so you can see how it opens a little differently than most gate-fold cards. Nicely done, Rhonda!

Joyce Feraco created this card spotlight Perennial Lavender products with a cool fun-fold style card.

Joyce’s card begins with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ quarter sheet of Gorgeous Grape cardstock. She added a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Perennial Lavender DSP for the background.

Joyce added a mini card measuring 6-1/2″ x 3-1/2″, scored at the 3-1/4″ mark, to the front of the card. She decorated the left edge with a 1″ x 3-1/2″ piece of coordinating Perennial Lavender DSP.

Next, Joyce inked the Painted Lavender floral image with Fresh Freesia, then sponged on some Berry Burst on the tips with a Sponge Dauber. She adhered that to the mini card front with SEAL Adhesive. Next, she added Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake sprigs, die-cut with the Painted Lavender Dies, with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

She stamped a Perennial Postage sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink onto a Crumb Cake Heartfelt Hexagon punched shape and popped it up with Dimensionals over the focal point elements. Joyce finished with a single Purple Fine Shimmer Gem.

Joyce added a 3″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Basic White for the inside message. Optional: add more stamped images to the inside and/or a coordinating sentiment.
