I'm so excited about being an exhibitor at the Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Getaway this coming weekend! It's going to be a fun weekend and I can't wait to see my stamping friends and make some new ones! On Thursday, I have a sold out Too Cool Holiday Cards class in the afternoon. The show runs 10 am to 5 pm on Friday & Saturday, October 4-5. And, on Friday night, I'll be one of the 9 vendors at Make & Take Party (space still available)! If you're in the Fort Wayne area, I hope to see you there!

Wrapped In Plaid 3-Layer Tree Tags
I found this adorable project in the Holiday Catalog on page 12 and decided to CASE it. I hope that my Friday Night Make & Take Party attendees love it, too! It uses several items from the Wrapped In Plaid suite in a festive color combination of Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Shaded Spruce with some gold accents.
Tag Base—I started with a 2" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock and punched the top with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch. I die-cut a Cherry Cobbler 1-7/8" circle with the Stitched Shapes dies and added it to the top of the tag with SNAIL adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Perfectly Plaid coordinating sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink at the bottom of the tag.
Layered Tree—I punched three tree shapes from the Wrapped In Plaid DSP with the Pine Tree Punch. I folded two of the shapes in half vertically, then adhered them onto the flat tree with Glue Dots down the center. It's kind of the same thing I've done with butterfly wings in the past. I adhered the tree to the tag front with SNAIL.
Sparkle—I added one Holiday Rhinestone Jewel to the tag; either near the tree or near the sentiment.
Curly Trim—I tied a 12" piece of the Braided Linen Trim through the tag hole into a bow. TIP: I used a Bone Folder on the ends to curl them just like you would curl Curly Ribbon that you put on gifts. How fun! I learned that tip from Sally Stampers.
Bell—I finished by tying a 3/8" Jingle Bell to the top with some White Baker's Twine.
I just love how these turned out! They would look so cute on a holiday package, especially wrapped in kraft paper or a red, green or gold paper with a small print or texture. Or how about tying it to a Gold Pizza Box?
