The black & white Petal Passion suite of products has been one of the most popular in the 2018 Occasions Catalog. I love that you can get completely different looks just by adding touches of color to these pretty images! Today, I'm sharing two Too Cool Team card swaps that show exactly what I mean.

Petal Palette with Pretty Birthday Label

Janet Shinn created this pretty card with a bold & cheerful color combination and beautiful Petal Passion Designer Series Paper.

Blended Blooms Background—The beautiful blooming background on this card begins with a 4" x 3" piece of black & white Petal Passion DSP that Janet colored with Stampin' Blends Markers. The flowers were colored with Daffodil Delight and the leaves with Old Olive markers. It's adhered to a 4-1/8" x 3-1/8" Night of Navy layer, then again onto a 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" Whisper White layer. She tied some Night of Navy Crinkle Ribbon around the layers, then mounted everything onto a Night of Navy card base.

Sweet Sentiment—Janet stamped the Label Me Pretty label border in Night of Navy ink onto Daffodil Delight, then added a Rose Wonder birthday sentiment inside in the same ink. It's punched with the Pretty Label Punch, then popped up with Dimensionals over the ribbon. She added a single Rhinestone accent on the label.

Petal Palette with Touches of Texture Card

Amy VanHuisen combined the lovely Petal Palette images with some textured patterns from Touches of Texture stamp set.

Background Basics—Amy stamped the flecks from Touches of Texture in Basic Gray diagonally across a Whisper White card base. I love what she did with the 4" x 2-3/4" Powder Pink layer! She added some score lines 1/4" in from the edge to create a textured border on the panel, then added more Basic Gray flecks.

Pretty Blooms—Amy stamped the floral Petal Palette image in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White, then colored it with Powder Pink ink and a Blender Pen. She die-cut the shape with the Petals & More Thinlits, then adhered with SNAIL onto the background. She stamped and die-cut the bird and tucked him in between the flowers and leaves.
