Picture Perfect Party Birthday Cards

The Picture Perfect Party 6×6" Designer Series Paper is one of those "real photo" packs with fun photos of birthday items on one side and colorful coordinating patterns on the other. I wanted to showcase these unique, festive papers, so I created these two fun-fold, off-set opening cards.

Even if you aren't a fan of the photo papers, the backs of the DSP are very versatile on their own! There are 48 6×6" sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. There are closeup photos of the paper patterns on the Stampin' Up! website.

Background Basics—My card base measures 9-1/4" x 4-1/4" and it's scored at the 3-3/4" mark, so the inside of the card shows on the side. The Stampin' Trimmer really comes in handy for this card, because it will cut & score it!

I added a 1/2" x 4" strip of the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper down the fold side, then selected a 3" x 4" real photo pattern to add next to it. Next, I added a coordinating 1-1/2" x 4" confetti pattern piece down the right inside of the card. What a fun and EASY way to get a cool background!

Sweet Sentiment Oval—I stamped the Picture Perfect Birthday sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then die-cut it with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I layered that with Dimensionals onto a Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper scallop oval cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits. It's adhered on the left-side card front with Tear & Tape for a secure hold.

Finishing Touches—I finished the card by adding a couple Tutti-Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Pool Party and Berry Burst. Those sequins match so many of the papers in the Occasions Catalog, and I find I'm using them all the time!

Inside The Card—Picture Perfect Birthday has several greetings that work well on the inside, too! I love this one about confetti, that goes with the confetti DSP!

Two Cool—My second card features a Lemon Lime Twist card base, a Bermuda Bay Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper and different DSP patterns. MIxin' and matchin' is so fun!
