Playful Pets Sorry For Your Loss Cards
It's so hard to find the words or a way to comfort someone who has lost their pet. Dogs and cats are our family members! Today's cards are perfect for just those occasions and let you know that you care.
Background Basics—See those adorable little die-cut paws? That's created with a die from the Pets Dies. I die-cut the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Real Red cardstock first, then ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. It's adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base.
I added a 1-1/2" x 5" piece of Playful Pets Designer Series Paper to the background, with a banner cut into the bottom.
Sweet Dogger—I stamped the Pampered Pets dog image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White then colored it in with Smoky Slate and Real Red Stampin' Blends Markers. I thought the image of the back of the dog was a lovely way to express a more solemn look on these condolence cards.
The dog was die-cut with the Pets Dies and then popped up onto a Basic Black Stitched Shapes oval die-cut. I adhered the oval with SEAL Adhesive onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Pampered Pets sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a 2-3/4" x 5/8" strip of Whisper White. I banner-cut the ends of that, too, before popping it up onto the oval.
Finishing Touches—I tied a bow with the Real Red Stitched Satin Ribbon and attached it with a Glue Dot at the bottom of the oval.
Two Cool—I created another version featuring the pretty kitty image. The background is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Smoky Slate cardstock, layered onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic Black. I added a 2" x 5" piece of Playful Pets DSP to the background before tying some Real Red Stitched Satin Ribbon around the layers. Then, I mounted it all onto a Flirty Flamingo card base.
Happy Hearts—I stamped the Pampered Pets hearts image onto the background in Memento Black ink and colored them in with Real Red Stampin' Blends.
Focal Point—I stamped the Pampered Pets image in Memento Black onto Whisper White, then colored it in with Smoky Slate and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Markers. I die-cut it with the Pets Dies and popped it up onto a Flirty Flamingo Stitched Shapes square and a 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" Basic Black layer.
Sweet Sentiment—This time, I spotlighted just a portion of the sentiment. To do this, I colored directly onto the sentiment stamp with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, only adding ink to the first part of the sentiment. Then, I stamped it onto a 2-5/8" x 3/8" strip of Whisper White. I banner cut the ends and popped it up onto the square.
Inside The Card—After thoroughly cleaning the stamp, I used the Stampin' Write Marker to color the second half of the sentiment to add to the inside of the card. I also stamped the hearts and a little mouse, coloring them with Real Red and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Markers respectively.
