Poetic Softly Sophisticated DSP Front Card
I received this pretty swap card from Susan Campfield. I just love the way she combined the delicate patterns of the Poetic Expressions Designer Series Paper with the sweet images and embossed texture from the Softly Sophisticated Bundle.

Background Basics
Susan began with a 6″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Moody Mauve cardstock, scored at the 1-3/4″ mark. She added a 3″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Moody Mauve patterned Poetic Expressions DSP to the front of the card, adhering it to the shortened flap so that it was flush with the right side of the card’s edge. She embossed a 1″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Moody Mauve cardstock with the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder and adhered it to the left side of the card front.
Softly Stamped Flower
Susan stamped the two-step leaves image from the Softly Sophisticated stamp set in Mossy Meadow onto a Basic White Thoughtful Expressions die-cut. Oooh…I just love the shape of those nesting dies! Whether or not you like the stamp set, the Thoughtful Expressions Dies are a must-have! She stamped the flowers over the top in Moody Mauve ink, then popped up the element with Dimensionals. She finished with a few Iridescent Pearls for a soft, shine.
Inside The Card
My favorite thing about this card design is that it shows the beautiful back-side of the DSP that really dresses up the inside of the card! Susan added a sweet Softly Sophisticated sentiment in Moody Mauve ink, along with another two-step flower image from the set. Just lovely!
Softly Sophisticated Hello There Card
Dawn Olchefske sent me this delightful swap card also featuring the Softly Sophisticated Bundle, Poetic Expressions DSP and Thoughtful Expressions Dies! I love her simple and sweet layout and soft color combination!
Background Basics
Dawn started her card by embossing a 5″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Bubble Bath cardstock with the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder and adhering it to a traditional Bubble Bath card base. Next, she selected three patterns from the Poetic Expressions DSP, cut them into 4″ x 5/8″ strips and staggered them onto the card front. What a fun and easy foundation for the focal point!
Sweet Flowers
Dawn stamped the Softly Sophisticated leaves in Moody Mauve and two-step flowers in Bubble Bath onto a Basic White Thoughtful Expressions die-cut. It’s popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
Dawn stamped a Softly Sophisticated sentiment in Moody Mauve onto a 1/3/4″ x 5/8″ piece of Bubble Bath cardstock and overlapped it onto the die-cut, popping up the end with Dimensionals. She finished by adding Iridescent Pearls to the flower centers. So darling!
