Hi Stamping Friends!
I attended my niece Sammi's high school graduation party over the weekend, so I created a little gift bag just for the occasion.
Pop of Pink Congrats Card & Gift Bag Ensemble
I already shared the Pop of Pink Congrats card that is shown above, and you can find it, along with a supply list, on this post: Pop of Pink Sunshine Wishes Cards. I just needed to create a quick & cute "cash" holder, and I thought a mini gift bag would be perfect!
Designer Series Paper Mini Gift Bag—The double-sided Designer Series Paper is perfect for creating these cute bags because both coordinating sides show! The Pop of Pink paper is especially great for this project, because most of the patterns are small and the colors are classy.
Create Your Own Mini Gift Bags—Learn how to created these adorable 4" tall, 2" deep bags with my Mini Gift Bag Pictorial. The whole bag is created from an 8" x 12" piece of paper, leaving you plenty of leftover paper from the 12" x 12" sheet to use on the matching card. You'll also need the Simply Scored tool for scoring, a Bone Folder for crisp folds, Paper Snips for making tabs & some Tear & Tape Adhesive for sturdy assembly.
Gift Bag Handles—I punched two 1/8" holes on each side of the bag for the handles. I cut two 12" pieces of 1/8" Melon Mambo Stitched Ribbon, threaded the ends through the holes and tied them together in a little faux bow double-knot. I thought the knots were kind of sweet, so I kept them on the outside to let them show..
Gift Bag Décor—I wanted the bag to match the card, but be simple and vague enough that it could be re-used for another occasion. I die-cut the Sunshine Wishes heart from Silver foil and adhered that with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Then, I stamped a coordinating phrase from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White card stock. It's punched with the Classic Label Punch and popped up with Dimensionals. I finished off the box with a few floating Rhinestone Jewels.
Bundle It & SAVE! Don't forget that you can purchase the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and Sunshine Wishes Thinlits together in the Sunshine Wishes Bundle to save 10% off the cost of ordering them separately.
Lots of Loot—I filled my miniature gift bag with a bag of loot for the graduate! My little Lots of Labels die-cut tag says, "A little LOOT for every year of school!" It's stamped with the Labeler Alphabet stamps in Black ink and written with a Melon Mambo Stampin' Write marker. Then I rolled up 12 dollar bills, with larger bills rolled up inside, because I'm sneaky like that. The bills are tied with 1/8" Melon Mambo ribbon. The cash was stuffed into an retired size of cello bag, then tied with more Melon Mambo ribbon. The tag is tied on with Black Baker's Twine.
Pop of Pink Love & Hugs Card & Gift Bag Ensemble
Two Cool—Of course, I had to create a second version of the bag, so I made a matching card for my other Pop of Pink Sunshine Wishes Card. I used a different Pop of Pink DSP for this one, so you can see how fun these double-sided combos are from this package!
This time, I die-cut the heart from Melon Mambo card stock and die-cut the Sunshine Wishes "love" from Gold Foil. The words are again from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set.
Handle—I also put the tied handle on the inside of the bag…but it's still cute!
