Hi Stamping Friends!

Washi tape is one of my favorite ways to create a quick & cute background.  Right now, Pop of Pink is my favorite washi tape and I was so excited to receive two cards recently that used it for the foundation of a sweet card!  Check them out!

Kathe - pop of pink birthday

Created by Kathe Madsen.

Pop of Pink Happy Birthday Butterflies Card

My teammate Kathe Madsen designed this card for our July shoebox swap.  It went together in just minutes and I loved it!

Background Basics—The card starts with a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of Whisper White, matted on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic Black and adhered to a Melon Mambo card base.  She used three patterns of the Pop of Pink Washi Tape to decorate the background.

Sweet Sentiment—The Confetti Celebration greeting was stamped in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White, then die-cut with the Layering Squares Framelits.  Another Basic Black scallop square mat was die-cut with the same die set and the whole piece was popped up with Dimensionals.  The outline sentiment image was colored in with a Melon Mambo marker.

Tiny Butterflies—Kathe die-cut the Basic Back butterflies using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  They are attached with Glue Dots and topped with Rhinestone Jewels.  So cute, so quick!

Complete Supplies List—”Clear” means a rubber stamp on a clear block. “Photopolymer” is see-thru.

Pop of pink thanks - jeannette swain

Pop of Pink You’re The Best Card

I received a swap card from Jeannette Swain that used many of the same elements as Kathe’s card!  Great creative minds think alike!

Background Basics—Jeannette’s card starts with a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White card stock that was stamped with the Diagonal Stripes background stamp using a light touch of Pink Pirouette ink.  That is layered onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic Black, then mounted on a Melon Mambo card base.  Jeannette used all five patterns of Pop of Pink Washi Tape to create the foundation for her sentiment.

Sweet Sentiment—She stamped the two greetings from Sunburst Sayings in Memento Black and Melon Mambo inks onto a 3-1/2″ x 1-3/4″ piece of Whisper White.  It’s popped up with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—She tied a small bow with the Melon Mambo Thick Baker’s Twine, and attached it with a Glue Dot.  Done!  Simple & sweet!

Complete Supplies List—”Clear” means a rubber stamp on a clear block. “Photopolymer” is see-thru.
