Hi Stamping Friends!

Whew!  I just finished cutting up and mailing out all of my Paper Shares!  I can't wait for everyone to see these beautiful new papers!  Nothing beats seeing them in person.  While cutting, I discovered a few of the Designer Series Papers that I really like that hadn't previously had on my list.  One is the Serene Scenery 6×6" DSP Stack with beautiful realistic photo-like pictures on one side and coordinating patterns on the other.  I'm also loving the This Christmas Specialty DSP, featuring 24 lightweight sheets, 4 each of 6 double-sided designs.  That paper will go a long way when creating holiday cards & projects!

Today, I'm sharing a project with another one of my favorite Designer Series Papers…Pop of Pink!  I knew I would love that pack as soon as I saw it and I'm not the only one who likes it, apparently.  It has already been on backorder once, but it's currently in stock and ready to order!

Pop of Pink Sunshine Wishes Cards—I love the classy Melon Mambo, Basic Black & Whisper White color combination of the Pop of Pink DSP!  It's a little whimsical and a little feminine, with a whole lot of style!  Let's take a closer look at these cards!

Pop of pink sunshine wishes - black 2

Background Basics—The foundation of this card starts with a 3-1/2” x 4-3/4” piece of Pop of Pink DSP, matted onto a 3-5/8” x 4-7/8” piece of Melon Mambo card stock.  Both layers are adhered to a Basic Black card base with SNAIL.

Lovely Label—I die-cut a Whisper White shape with the Lots of Labels Framelits, then wrapped the bottom with some matching Pop of Pink Washi Tape.

Sunshine Sentiment Parts—I used a new versatile phrase-builder stamp set called Sunshine Sayings, along with it's coordinating Sunshine Wishes Thinlits to create the fun greeting. First, I figured out which words from the stamp set and dies that I wanted to go together.  There are many options from which to choose!   Next, I stamped the "hugs" ending on the label, just above the washi tape.

Double punch 001

Double Punching—I stamped the "sending" part of the phrase on scrap Whisper White and punched it with the new Classic Label Punch.  I wanted the shape to be shorter than the actual punch, so I punched out the word close to one end of the label, then threaded that end through the punch and punched out the other side, as shown above.

Sweet Sentiment AssemblyI die-cut the Melon Mambo heart with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, too, then adhered that onto the label with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  Next, I added the Gold Foil "love" die-cut from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, also adhered with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  I finished off the phrase by popping up that double-punched word with Dimensionals.

Touches of Gold—Before attaching the label to the card front, I added some tussels of Gold Metallic Thread.  TIP: Cover the back of the label with SNAIL.  Wrap the thread around your spread out 4 fingers at least 4-5 times, twist into a figure 8 shape and lay onto the sticky back.  Fluff out the loops until they look lovely, then add some Dimensionals over the threads to help keep them secure.  Attach to the card front.

I also punched a small Gold Foil heart using the Confetti Hearts Border Punch and adhered it with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Two Cool—My second version has a contrasting pattern from Pop of Pink.  This time I used the Banner Framelits for the focal point, along with a different pattern of Pop of Pink Washi Tape across the top.

Sweet Sentiment—My sentiment was shorter this time, and I opted to use the smaller butterfly Sunshine Wishes die-cut, so I had lots of white space on the banner.  I chose to fill it in with a pop of Melon Mambo color using another image from the same stamp set.  It's stamped off once for a lighter shade.

Silver Accents—I also changed to Silver Foil for the word and Silver Metallic Thread for the tusseled loops.  The Rhinestone Jewels also help to fill up the awkward spaces.
