Painted Lavender Stamped Wildflowers Cards
The Painted Lavender Bundle is amazing when it’s paired with the stems and sprigs from the Perennial Postage Bundle. But the stamps alone are equally beautiful! For this card, I thought I’d try just the stamps for a sweet and soft wildflowers card.
Background Basics
I started by adhering a 5-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper across the bottom of a Crumb Cake card base. Next, I adhered the pretty gingham pattern from the DSP measuring 4″ x 3″ onto a 4-1/8″ x -1/8″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock. I tied some Natural Wavy Trim around those layers before popping them up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Soft Wildflowers
I used the “stamping off” technique to achieve a lovely & soft background for my sentiment. First, I stamped the larger floral sprig onto the Basic White Deckled Circles die-cut twice with stamped-off Highland Heather. Then, I stamped the same sprig in stamped-off Fresh Freesia in the middle. I finished by stamping the skinnier branch in stamped-off Crumb Cake to fill in the blank spaces.
Sentiment
I stamped the Perennial Postage sentiment over the top in Gorgeous Grape ink and adhered it to the focal point background with SEAL Adhesive. I like the way it’s tucked under the trim.
Finishing Touches
I finished by stamping the Painted Lavender butterfly image in Highland Heather ink, die-cutting it with the Painted Lavender Dies and sticking it above the words with a Glue Dot. I topped the butterfly with a Purple Fine Shimmer Gem and added two more around the sentiment. Just darling!
Two Cool
I tried another version of the card in vertical and I love this one just as much!
Wildflower Wonder
I used the same stamping as the first card, just added a different sentiment. So sweet!
