Blooms & Bliss Pretty Kitty Peekaboo Card
I received this delightful card created by Janice Urke from a recent New Catalog swap and I loved it. Not only is the kitten so SO cute, but the card also features my favorite Designer Series Papers, Blooms & Bliss! So sweet!
Background Basics—Janice’s card begins with a l3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ layer of the Sweet Sugarplum floral pattern from Blooms & Bliss DSP. A 3-7/8″ x 2-1/2″ layer of Blushing Bride card stock is adhered across the bottom with a little Blushing Bride textured border die-cut from teh Flourish Thinlits adhered along the bottom. On top of that, she added a 3-7/8″ x 2-1/4″ piece of another pattern of Blooms & Bliss DSP.
She wrapped some Blushing Bride Stitched Satin Ribbon around that whole background before matting it onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Rich Razzleberry and adhering it to a Whisper White card base.
Kitten Focal Point—The Pretty Kitty image was stamped in Memento Black ink on a 2-1/4″ x 3″ piece of Whisper White, then colored with Blender Pens and several ink pads: Sweet Sugarplum for the flowers and pot, Rich Razzleberry for flower stalks, Crushed Curry for more flowers, Pear Pizzazz for leaves, Blushing Bride for the pot and the kitty’s ears, and Smoky Slate for the kitten’s fur. She also added a little shading under the pot with Smoky Slate. Pearl Jewels were added to three flowers.
Sweet Sentiment & Layers—After she added the Pretty Kitty greeting in Memento Black, she matted the layer onto a 2-3/8″ x 3-1/8″ piece of Blushing Bride and a 2-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Rich Razzleberry before popping up the layers with Dimensionals.

Fruit Stand Pretty Kitty Just Peeking In Card
The second card, by Jenn Tinline, is a bright and cheery version with less layers.
Background Basics—Jenn started with a 4″ x 3″ piece of the floral pattern of Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper adhered to a Flirty Flamingo card base.
Peekaboo Kitty—Jenn stamped the Pretty Kitty image in Archival Black ink onto 2-1/2″ square Shimmery White card stock. To color in the image, she chose to use Aqua Painters and ink pads, using Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight & Flirty Flamingo for the flowers, Pearl Pizzazz & Cucumber Crush for the leaves, and Pink Pirouette for the kitten’s ears. If you look closely, you can see she used just a touch of soft Daffodil Delight under the pot and Smoky Slate around the edges of the whole image for a little shadow.
After coloring, the stamped layer is matted onto a 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ piece of Peekaboo Peach and 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Watermelon Wonder, then popped up with Dimesionals.
Sweet Sentiment—The Pretty Kitty greeting is stamped in Archival Black Ink onto a 3″ x 1″ piece of Whisper White. Jenn fishtailed the end, tied some Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon around the end and popped the banner up with Dimensionals.
