Pretty Perennial Polka Dot Collage Cards
Bright & cheery! I enjoy this happy color combination paired with some polka dotted True Love Designer Series Paper!
Background Basics—The first card begins with a Highland Heather card base. I adhered a 2-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of the True Love DSP to a 2-5/8" x 4-7/8" Basic Black mat, tied it with the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and mounted it onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Pretty Perennials "happy" in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a large Basic White Stitched Shapes circle. I die-cut a Perennial Petals leaf from Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhered it behind the circle with SEAL. Then, the circle is popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals. I also stamped the coordinating greeting in Memento Black onto a 3/8" wide strip of Purple Posy cardstock, trimming the ends and attaching later over the flowers with SEAL adhesive.
Bright Blooms—I stamped the largest Pretty Perennials flower in Coastal Cabana and stamped a flower center over the top in the same ink. The medium flower is stamped in Magenta Madness, with a Magenta Madness flower center. The smaller flowers were made by stamping the outline image first, then adding the solid image over the top, in both Mango Melody and Magenta Madness inks. All of the blooms were cut out with the Perennial Petals dies, then layered onto the circle with SEAL Adhesive.
I finished by adding a few Rhinestone Jewels floating around the flowers.
Two Cool—For the second card, I started with a Mango Melody card base, then added the polka dot panel onto the opposite side of the card front.
Bright Blooms—The flowers are pretty much the same, except that I added a Highland Heather bitty bloom this time.
Sweet Sentiment—I switched up the sentiment, too, stamping it onto a 1/2" strip of So Saffron and trimming it down. So delightful!
