Hi Stamping Friends!

I've got a fun and easy technique to share with you today to help you snaz-up those handy, personalizable Tag A Bag Gift Boxes!  Have you seen them?

Tag A Bag Gift Boxes— They are an easy way to package gifts, treats and party favors for any occasion—perfect for holiday gift-giving!  You get 8 food-safe, kraft boxes with see-thru, acetate sleeve.  Boxes measure 6-7/8" x 2-1/8" x 2-1/2". 

It's fun to stamp on them, cover them with designer paper, add embellishments, or even dress them up quickly with the coordinating Tag A Bag Accessories Kit.  But, did you know that you can also texture emboss them? It's definitely Too Cool!

I decorated sleeve of this Tag A Bag Gift Box in a wintery theme and added some beautiful textured accents!

OOOooohh!  The Pretty Prints Embossing Folder IS very pretty on that acetate!  You should see it, and feel it, in person!

Texture Embossing On Gift Box Sleeves

The acetate sleeves come folded flat, and that is exactly how you want to run them through the Big Shot. 

Matching Up Textures—You can only do one half at at time, so depending on the texture you
use, you may have to try to match up the patterns.  That's where the
belly band cover-up really comes in handy!  The Pretty Print pattern has
enough space between the lines that matching it up isn't an issue.

Big Shot Layers—You'll want to run the sleeve through your Big Shot with NO Tabs (that means both tabs are open), due to the double-thick acetate layer. 

Did You Know About The Shorter Folders?  I was delighted to discover that the two new texture impressions folders in the Holiday Catalog, Pretty Print and Stylish Stripes, were designed a little bit shorter than some of the folders in the Annual Catalog.  They are 6-1/4" long and will just barely fit through the width of the Big Shot opening, so you can you the patterns in either direction!  I'm so excited that they've changed the sizes for even more versatility! 

The longer 4-1/2" x 6-3/8" folders listed in the Annual Catalog are too wide to fit horizontally through the Big Shot.  The shorter 4-1/2" x 5-3/4" will fit through easily.  All measurements are listed by each folder in the catalog and in the online descriptions for easy reference.

I wrapped the sleeve with a belly band created from a 3" x 12" piece of Winter Frost Designer Series Paper.

What About The De-Bossed Sides? Since the sleeve is run through the machine folded, it will be embossed on two sides and debossed on the other two sides.  Trust me, you will hardly even notice it!  Click to enlarge this photo to see how unnoticable it is.

Snowflake Medallion—The top is decorated with snowflake layers from the Festive Flurry stamps and framelits bundle!  I stamped the flakes in Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo and popped up each die-cut layer with Dimensionals.

The snowflake is accented with a Silver Ribbon bow, adhered with Glue Dots, and mounted on a Circle Collections Framelit die-cut of Silver Glimmer Paper.
