Magical Day One of a Kind Mermaid Card
One of the true highlights from the Myths & Magic suite has got to be the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper! It's "special" because it has all kinds of glimmery goodness, like the shimmer you can see on the bubbles shown on this project's background!
The mermaid tail is also really shimmery, as you can see in this photo! Another thing I love about this paper is that several of the images, including some of the mermaids can be die-cut with the Magical Mates Framelits. So the framelits work with the DSP, as well as with the images from the stamp set…Too Cool!
And, I also love the new 6×6" Myths & Magic Glimmer Pack of paper, including 8 sheets each of iridescent, light green and turquoise colors. It matches Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist color perfectly!
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Adhere the 5-1/2” x 2” Myths & Magic DSP bubble pattern to a Bermuda Bay card base with SNAIL.
- Adhere a 5-1/2” x ½” strip of Bermuda Bay Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper with Tear & Tape.
- Stamp your Magical Day sentiment on the 3-1/4” x 3-1/4” Whisper White card stock, then die-cut it with the Stitched Shapes circle framelit.
- Stamp Magical Day bubble images onto the die-cut, then mount to front of the card with Dimensionals.
- Stamp same sentiment in Bermuda Bay onto the Whisper White scrap card stock. Hand-cut out the banner part of the image and pop up with Dimensionals over the original sentiment.
- Hand-cut one of the matching mermaids from the Myths & Magic DSP. Pop up with Dimensionals onto circle die-cut.

Magical Day Dragon Card
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Stamp the Magical Day sparkle image on 4” x 5-1/4” Old Olive card stock in Old Olive ink and then adhere card stock to Pacific Point card base.
- Run 3-¾” x 2-½” and 2-7/8” x 1-5/8” Basic Gray pieces of card stock through the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. Make a banner cut in one end of the largest piece and adhere to the Old Olive card front.
- Stamp your Magical Day sentiment on the 2-¾” x 1-½” Whisper White card stock and adhere it to the small Basic Gray piece.
- Flag one end of both 1” x 3/8” Pumpkin Pie card stock strips. Attach one to the backside of the sentiment, then attach the sentiment to front of the card with Dimensionals.
- Die-cut a scallop 3” x 3” scallop square in the Silver Glimmer Paper.
- Adhere the other Pumpkin Pie flag to the backside of the Glimmer Paper.
- Add some Fast Fuse on the back of the Glimmer Paper. Loop some Silver Metallic Thread around your fingers, twist into a “figure 8” shape and add in messy loops to the back. When that’s done then attach it to the front of the card using Tear & Tape.
- Stamp the Magical Day dragon in Memento Black ink and then color with Stampin’ Blends. Finish that piece with stamping the sparkle stamp in Pumpkin Pie.
- Attach the stamped dragon on top of the Glimmer Paper with Dimensionals.
