#1 Special Reason Happy Birthday Card

The Special Reason flowers are so pretty, but this card takes the flower to another level with some shading and depth, courtesy of the Watercolor Pencils! It's a fun technique to try with any solid image stamp!

Background Basics—Run the 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" Whisper White layer through the Big Shot with the Petal Burst Texture Impressions Folder. Layer onto a 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" Pink Pirouette mat and adhere to a Thick White Card stock base.

Watercolor Shaded Flower—Stamp the Special Reason flower image in Pink Pirouette ink onto Whisper White card stock. Next color in a little shading at the center of the flower with the Melon Mambo Watercolor Pencil. Just color about half way up each petal. Blend the darker color out to the end of the petals with the Aqua Painter. Die cut the flower with the Stylish Stems Framelits and pop up onto a 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" Whisper White layer.

Stylish Stems—Die cut the stem and leaves from Old Olive card stock with the Stylish Stems Framelits. Adhere to the flower layer with Multipurpose Glue.

Finishing Touches—Stamp the Special Reason sentiment in Memento Black Ink onto the flower layer, then add Rhinestone Jewels underneath. Adhere a 3/4" x 2-1/2" strip of Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper behind the flower layer, then pop up the layer with Dimensionals.

#2 Special Reason Good Friend Collage Card

What a pretty bouquet of flowers highlighting 4 of the 5 In Colors for this year! I LOVE those colors together!

Background Accents—Adhere a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" layer of Whisper White card stock to a 4" x 5-1/4" Dapper Denim mat with SNAIL. Then mount onto a Flirty Flamingo card base.

Beautiful Bouquet Collage—Stamp all the pieces of the collage and die cut them with the Stylish Stems Framelits outline dies.

• One large flower in Flirty Flamingo

• One small flower in Sweet Sugarplum

• One small flower in Peekaboo Peach

• Three leaves in Pear Pizzazz

• Sentiment & frame in Dapper Denim

Lay out a pleasing arrangement of all the pieces. Adhere the leaves with SNAIL and the flowers and sentiment with Dimensionals.
