Project Sheets Friday—Two Diagonal Fancy Fold Cards

I've been having so much fun with the Cool Treats and Oh So Succulent suites over the past few weeks and I'm currently prepping my supplies for my upcoming classes featuring those bundles!

Today, I'm excited to share two cool fun-fold Projects Sheets featuring both Cool Treats & Oh So Succulent! I can't get enough of them and I hope you're enjoying them, too!

Succulent Diagonal Gate-Fold Card

What a fun way to use the beautiful Succulent Gardens Designer Series Paper and lovely Succulent Framelits flowers. It's easier to create than you might think!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Die cut the 5 different sizes of the Succulent Framelits flower layers out of the Mint Macaron card stock.
Sponge flowers in Rich Razzleberry and then sponge over in white.
Curl the petals with your fingers or a Bone Folder.
Adhere the flower together with Glue Dots or Dimensionals.
Score a 5-1/2” x 8-1/4” piece of Tip Top Taupe on the long side at the 2-3/4” and 5-1/2” marks.
Score diagonally on the first and third panels from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. (See diagram on the printable PDF above)
Cut two 2-1/4” x 4-7/8” pieces of Succulent Garden DSP. Cut them both diagonally, taking care to cut them so you have the DSP positioned in the direction that you want.
Adhere DSP to the triangles on the card base.
Die-cut a Tip Top Taupe scalloped circle with 2nd largest Layering Circles die.
Adhere the succulent to the scalloped circle with Glue Dots or Dimensionals.
Adhere the circle to the front of the card with Glue Dots or Dimensionals, making sure to only apply adhesive to 1/2 of the back.

Cool Treats Diagonal Fold Birthday Card

Here's another fun fold that is very similar to the one above, just in a smaller size and with some differing décor. So much fun!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Cut Tasty Treats DSP to 12” x 4” and score at 4” and 8”, then diagonally on each end in the same direction.
Stamp Cool Treats waffle cone in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White scrap.
Stamp Cool Treats ice-cream scoop in Pool Party onto Whisper White, then stamp Chocolate Chip drip over the top.
Stamp Pear Pizzazz spoon and Watermelon Wonder strawberry with Pear Pizzazz top.
Die cut all pieces with Frozen Treats Framelits. Cut off bottom of cone with Paper Snips to create waffle bowl.
Ink up “Happiest Birthday” in Peekaboo Peach, then along the top in Watermelon Wonder. Stamp at top of 2-3/4” square Whisper White card stock. Layer on top of 3” square Peekaboo Peach card stock.
Assemble waffle ice cream bowl on birthday square using Dimensionals.
Stamp “I hope your birthday…" in Watermelon Wonder at the top of 3” square and then sprinkles in the other colors around the edges. Layer on 3-1/4” square of Watermelon Wonder, then adhere onto the center square of DSP.
Fold both outside triangle edges of DSP backwards, then fold both sides in, covering inside sentiment.
Wrap Pool Party Stitched Satin Ribbon around folded card and tie in a bow on side opposite the ice cream on your Peach layer. Lay a strip of Tear & Tape across the flat front of ribbon.
Apply adhesive only on one BACK CORNER of Peekaboo Peach Birthday layer. This should be the same as the corner that will open to the left side of card. This corner will also be adhered to the Tear & Tape on the ribbon! Adhere to front of card as shown.
