Bold Butterfly Birthday Bouquet Cards
These cards have a simple design that you could create with any extra Designer Series Paper, a little coordinating ribbon and a single punched or die-cut shape for a focal point. It's perfect for making a whole stack of cards to have on hand! It takes just minutes to put this one together!
CASEd from Patsy Waggoner at Stamps To Die For.
Background Basics—I maximized my 12×12" Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper by cutting my background pattern to 3-3/4" x 3", so I could make 12 cards from each piece. The DSP is layered onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. After adding a strip of the shimmery Pool Party Glitter Ribbon around the entire layer and securing the ends to the backside, it was adhered to a Blushing Bride card base.
Blushing Butterfly—I created a sweet spring focal point with the Bold Butterfly Thinlits, die-cutting the butterfly from Blushing Bride card stock. I adhered it to the ribbon with a Glue Dot, then added a couple Pearl Jewels for the butterfly body. TIP: I also added a Glue Dot under the ribbon directly under the butterfly to keep both layers securely in place.
Sweet Sentiment—I finished the card by adding a bold sentiment from the versatile Tin of Cards stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This card style allows you to easily substitute any greeting you have on hand.
Two Cool—I used a different pattern from the Birthday Bouquet DSP and a different Tin of Cards sentiment for my second card.
Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
