Quite Curvy Thinking of You Birds Card
Oh those little birdies are so sweet! The Quite Curvy stamp set includes three of them, along with Curvy Dies to match for easy cutting out! This card is part of my Curvy Celebrations LIVE Class Kit, so you'll get all the pieces to create it!
Background Basics—I started by die-cutting a Curvy Dies flourish border along the edge of a 5-1/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White. Next, I cut a curvy line along the bottom of a 5-1/4" x 2" piece of Sahara Sand Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper, but turning the flourish border the other direction.
I adhered the DSP to the top of the white piece, then added a Quite Curvy sentiment along the curve in Soft Suede ink. I mounted the layers onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, then adhered it to the Soft Suede card base.
Wrapping It Up—I tied some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the card front and into a double-knot. I also die-cut a couple of Soft Suede leafy sprigs with the Curvy Dies and attached them with Glue Dots.
Bitty Birdies—I stamped a couple of the cute little birdies in Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then colored them in with Stampin' Blends Markers in Soft Suede, Gray Granite and Crumb Cake inks. They are die-cut and popped up with Mini Dimensionals. I finished by adding a few Pearl Jewels floating around the birds.
Swap card created by Deb Snyder.Two Cool—Today's second card is a swap card that I received from Deb Snyder. I always love her creations and this sweet and simple design is no exception! She begins with a 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Sahara Sand Classic Christmas DSP adhered along the bottom of a Thick Whisper White card base. She cut a Curvy Dies dotted border along the bottom of a 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White and stamped a Quite Curvy sentiment on it with Petal Pink ink. It's layered onto the card front with SEAL adhesive.
Sweet Little Bird—Deb stamped the Quite Curvy floral garland along the bottom of a 3-1/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White in Crumb Cake ink. She colored it in with Crumb Cake, Petal Pink and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Markers. Then, she stamped the bird image in Crumb Cake on top of the garland and colored that in with Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Blends. Ok…here is where she gets really clever! She cut out the focal point of the image with the small Stitched Nested Labels die., then she ran the piece with the remaining ends of the garland through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Curvy die for the garland. How genius! She popped up the center label and adhered the floral ends on either side with SEAL. Too Cool, Deb! Well done!
Finishing Touches—She added some Pearl Jewels to accent the focal point, too!
