Yesterday was such a GORGEOUS Spring day, and today is supposed to be even better! Hope you all are enjoying it! With the flowers starting to peek out of the ground, it reminded me of a fun and quick little flower card I created with the Razzle Dazzle stamp set (also pictured above).
I used In Color Markers (well, except poor Dusty Durango was left out) to color directly on the razzle flower stamp, moistened it with my breath, then stamped on Whisper White card stock. I stamped another colored flower on scrap paper and cut out a few flower shapes to pop up with Dimensionals.
Do you recognize the background paper? It's the same as the pattern on the front of the Idea Book & Catalog—Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper.
The base of the flower pot was cut freehand from Soft Suede card stock and stamped with the stripes from Razzle Dazzle. To pretty it up a bit, I added a border with the Scallop Border Punch and white polka dots with the opaque ink from the Uniball White Gel Pen.
The Soft Suede Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon pulls the whole thing together! Did you know that this ribbon is double-sided? Polka Dots on one side and solid color on the other—very versatile! I won't tell you how long I had to manipulate the faux bow so that only the dotted side showed up! *wink*
Announcing—Too Cool Stamping's First Ever Blog Contest!
The greeting I used is from Whimsical Words, the very popular and now gone-forever 2010 Sale-A-Bration stamp set. But, if you missed your chance to earn it, never fear! Since I'm technically not supposed to be showing you any more Sale-A-Bration items, I'm using it as an excuse to have my first Blog Contest!
Yay! Woohoo! Too Cool! *throws confetti*
Leave a comment on my blog by April 8, and you'll be qualified to win your choice of a wood or clear mount Whimsical Words set of your very own! I will announce the winner on my blog on April 9 and deliver or ship it out immediately. US residents only. (<<<haha, I crack myself up! Like I have more than 2 dozen people following this blog right now. See what a fantastic chance you have to win?!)
Can't wait to hear from you!
~Angie
OK…here’s my comment!! I keep hoping one of your ideas will inspire me enough to skip the dishes, the laundry, the sticky kitchen floor and the fighting kids and drag ALLLLLLLLL my stamping stuff out. We’re getting close! Keep ’em coming!
And you may not have people from another country yet, but you do have them from other states!
Angie, your card is beautiful. I love the colors. Congratulations on your new blog. You’re doing great!
