    Hi Stamping Friends!

When I designed these projects for my "Last Thursdays" class, the whole intention was to feature several of the 2011-2013 In Colors since they were supposed to be leaving.

But thanks to the new Color Refresh announced yesterday, this post has now become a celebration—these colors are all staying!  Woohoo!  *jumping for joy*

CASEd from LeeAnn Greff at Flowerbug's Inkspot.

I had to try this card design because it was just a little bit different take on the Bitty Butterfly punch—creating a recessed butterfly!  Love it!  I also thought it was a good way to use up my In Color paper that was going to retire…not anymore!  *hands clapping wildly*

    Chevron bitties - indigo colors

My card base is Whisper White and it's layered with a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of the dots pattern from the 2011-2013 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack.

For the butterflies' backgrounds, I used the oval-shaped chevron-patterned image from the Oh, Hello stamp set to stamp Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, and Wisteria Wonder patterns on scrap Whisper White paper. Then, I punched 1-3/8" Circles out of the stamped image.

TIP: You can get two circle punches out of each stamped oval, which is why I ended up with this multicolored card when I was playing around with colors.

Next, I punched with the Bitty Butterfly Punch onto scrap Whisper White to make the middles first, spacing them at least 1/2" apart.  Center the 1-1/4" Circle Punch over the punched butterfly shape to complete the circles.

Now it's just a matter of stacking them with Dimensionals and adding a Rhinestone Jewels.

Once you get them assembled, you can really play around with the positioning on your card front depending on where you want your sentiment.

Save those white Bitty Butterfly punch-outs to use as additional accents, or even on the inside of the card.

The Curly Cute sentiments are stamped on a piece of coordinating 4" x 3/4" card stock with VersaMark, then embossed with White Embossing Powder.

    Chevron bitties - calypso

    Another version in Calypso Coral.

    Chevron bitties - wisteria

And, a final one in Wisteria Wonder.  I could have fun making these in EVERY color!  Oh, yes I could!
