Hi Stamping Friends!

I hope you're day is off to a fantastic start!  I've been busy getting ready for my Too Cool Demo Team meeting tonight!  I always have a fun time with these amazing ladies—can't wait!

I've also been cutting and assembling my Paper Share Demo Sampler Rings and those are turning out great!  I should have a photo of the finished sampler by tomorrow!  We've filled up another Too Cool Paper Share group and we're half-way filled on the next! Thank you so much to everyone who's ordered one!  If you're interested in participating, contact me today

And, I've also gotten a great response to my new Stamp-of-The-Month Class featuring Regarding Dahlias!  Today, I've got another project to show you from the class.

I'm super-excited about my new Stamp-of-The-Month Class Kit program!  These kits, spotlighting fun & versatile stamp sets, are better than ever before!  And now, I'm offering one EVERY MONTH as a local class AND an online Class-To-Go Kit! Too Cool!

If you missed it, be sure to check out yesterday's announcement on my NEW Stamp-of-The-Month Class Kit program, including a full class description for June's Class featuring the Regarding Dahlias stamp set!

I've already shared one project from the kit: Embossed Dahlias Joy Fold Card.  Now, let's take a closer look at another project from this month's kit!

Several of the class kit cards are featuring heat embossing, including this card designed with a gorgeous white embossed background!

Background Basics—I started with a lovely paper design from the new Lullaby Designer Series Paper pack.  The 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" chevron pattern is adhered to a Coastal Cabana card base.

I absolutely LOVE the Lullaby DSP!  It has soft, pastel colors that are perfect for baby projects, but there's nary a baby image in sight, making it great for projects for any occasion!  Plus, it has all small prints and patterns, which is what I prefer for making cards!  Awesome!

Embossed Dahlia Background—Rather than making it a focal point, this time I used the large bloom from Regarding Dahlias to create a pretty background pattern!  I stamped the image with VersaMark ink, and tried to cover every bit of the 5-1/4" x 2-1/2" So Saffron background without much overlap.  TIP: Start with two side-by-side blooms in the middle of the panel, then fill in the spaces around the edges.

I sprinkled the entire background with White Embossing Powder, which is included in your class kit, tapped off the excess and heated it with the Heat Tool until it was glossy and smooth.

Wrapping It Up—After adhering the embossed panel to the card base, I wrapped some retired Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon around the card front.  It's tied in a double-knot and trimmed.

Sweet Sentiment—The Regarding Dahlias sentiment was stamped in Hello Honey onto Whisper White card stock, then punched out with the Label Bracket Punch.  I punched another Label Bracket from Coastal Cabana, cut it in half, and positioned it to frame the top and bottom of the greeting.

It's popped up over the ribbon with Dimensionals, then adorned with some Pearl Jewels that you'll get in the class kit, too!

Coastal chevron - v

My vertical version is just as sweet, only this time I used a piece of retired Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon, adhered to the paper seam with some Sticky Strip, and trimmed at the edges.

Can you tell I'm doing my best to use up some of my retired ribbon, because there is ALOT of it in my drawer—LOL!

Sponged Emboss Resist—I wanted a little more pizzazz on the background of this version, so I used my Sponge Dauber to add a little Hello Honey ink to the centers of the blooms.

Sponging Tip: Simply sponge in a circular motion, starting darker in the flower center and feathering the ink lighter around the edges.  Such a pretty emboss resist technique!

Embossing TIP: Although I consistently forget to use mine, as you can tell by looking closely at the photo above, I do recommend using the Embossing Buddy pad before stamping to "prep" your paper.  It will remove static and oils from your fingertips so you won't have stray embossing where you don't want it.
