It's another one of those really exciting weeks in the Stampin' Up! world, especially if you're a demonstrator! It's out with the old and in with the new…and it all starts with the Last Chance Retiring List coming out tomorrow! It's scheduled to be released at 1pm MT/3pm ET. Petal Park Dear Friend Cards

One of the things I love about the Petal Park stamp set is the awesome two-step stamping combo that makes the leaves and flowers layer together. I showed a popped up variation of that layering on these Dear Friend cards.

Background Basics—I started by adhering a 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Regency Park Designer Series Paper across the middle of a Mint Macaron card base. Next, I tied some Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon around the card front; double-knot and trimmed.

Focal Point Blooms—I started by stamping the Sentimental Park greeting in Night of Navy ink onto a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock. Next, I stamped the Petal Park outline leaves image in Shaded Spruce above the sentiment. I filled in the leaves with the solid image in Mint Macaron ink.

Optional: You could stamp the Petal Park outline flower trio image right over the top of the leaves, because the spaces for them are already "masked" out from the leaves image.

I stamped the trio of flowers outline image in Night of Navy onto a scrap of Basic White, then added the fill-in color image with Balmy Blue ink. I used the Petal Park Punch to punch out the three flowers, then popped them up with Dimensionals. I layered this onto a 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Night of Navy cardstock, then mounted it onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.

Finishing Touches—I wanted the flowers to mimic the ones on the DSP, so I used a Mango Melody Stampin' Write Marker to add a little color to the centers of the flowers. I finished with Night of Navy Milky Dots. Please Note: The Milky Dots gems are already sold out, but I have enough of them to complete my kits! You could substitute Rhinestones colored with Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Markers.

Two Cool—For this card, I started with a different pattern of Regency Park DSP mounted onto a Balmy Blue card base.

Focal Point With Blooms—I stamped the same sentiment in Night of Navy. To mimic this DSP, I started with the outline leaves in Night of Navy and the fill-in image with Shaded Spruce. For the flowers, I stamped the bloom trio outline in Night of Navy, punch them out, then stamped the solid image in different colors for each of the flowers: Mango Melody, Petal Pink, Balmy Blue. I added a little Mango Melody marker to the Balmy Blue flower. I finished with Petal Pink Milky Dots, but Iridescent Pearls or Elegant Faceted Gems would look lovely with the white pattern of the DSP.
