April Peaceful Petals Class-To-Go Kit—Register Now!

Peaceful petals class - ensembleThis month's Spring Spectacular stamp-of-the-month style kit, featuring the beautiful Peaceful Petals stamp set, is better than ever before!  I've added two cool new bonuses not originally advertised in my Spring Spectacular info.

New & Improved!  When I started creating the projects, I discovered a fun technique using the White Stampin' Chalk Marker, so I knew I had to include that in the kit, as well.  I also couldn't resist adding one more card project, so you have another opportunity to use the new marker!  You get both additions for NO ADDITIONAL COST!  Woohoo!

Peaceful Petals Class-To-Go Kit

Cost $40.00 clear, $48.00 wood

Features Peaceful Petals stamp set, a 1/2 package of Gold OR Silver Fancy Foil Vellum, a full package of Gold OR Silver Baker's Twine, and now including a Stampin' Write Chalk Marker, to use on the projects. That's a $39.33 value already!

Plus, it includes all the pre-cut supplies & embellishments to create two three cards with envelopes, and a treat holder. Just add inks and adhesives.

Kit Has Supplies To Make 4 FREE Projects (choose Gold OR Silver accents):

  • Triple-Time Petals Card—Create a cool layered card using the Triple-Time stamping technique and show it off in an elegant Fancy Foil Vellum envelope in Gold or Silver.
  • Chalk Flowers Tag Card—Bring your stamped image to life on colored card stock with the opaque Chalk Marker.  You'll love this easy highlighting technique with the Gold or Silver accents!
  • Colored Bloom On Vellum Card—Use markers to color a "soft focus" focal point on Vellum card stock, and layer it against a Fancy Foil Vellum background with Gold or Silver hearts.
  • Dahlia Treat Holder—A fun Ghirardelli chocolate holder spotlighting both the Chalk Marker highlighting technique and metallic accents.  Gold treat is in yellows; Silver treat is in purples. Chocolate is included!

Shipping Charges Additional: $5.60 for clear mount. $10.00 for wood mount.  No shipping charges if you can pick up your kit locally.

Payment: Pre-paid registration by credit card or PayPal preferred.  Cash, check, or money order also accepted from local customers.

When Is The Class? This class is being offered as a kit only, so I don't have a specific date for a local class.  However, if you want to come over and put the kit together during one of my Anything Goes Open Stamp Nights, that's the perfect time to do so!  Next one is May 1.

Fine Print & Whatnot: These classes may not be combined with, or count toward, other classes, workshops, private classes, clubs, incentives or special events.

Peaceful petals purple - two cool

Let's take a look at one of the amazing projects you'll receive with this month's Peaceful Petals Class-to-Go Kit.  I'm starting off with my favorite—I think you'll love it, too!

Peaceful petals purple - razzleberry

Inspired by Ronda Wade at Stamp With Ronda and Cindy Elam at Hearts Delight Cards.

Fancy Foil Background—My first card features golden accents, but class participants can select silver instead.  I cut the Gold Fancy Foil Hearts Vellum to 5" x 3-3/4" and adhered it to a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock.

TIP: The translucency of the vellum makes it tricky to attach without the adhesive showing through.  I found that adding a Glue Dot behind the foil designs will hide the glue.  I also use SNAIL on the spots that will eventually be covered by the focal point and ribbon for extra hold.

Ribbon Trim—I added a piece of Crochet Trim lace around the front of the vellum layer, adhering the ends to the back with SNAIL, then mounting on a Very Vanilla card base.

Coloring On Vellum—Although I could have simply stamped on white card stock and colored it, I decided to go for a softer look on this card.  I stamped the single bloom in StazOn Black onto Vellum card stock.  Then, I flipped over the vellum and colored the back of the image.

The center of the flower is colored with a Calypso Coral Marker, and the stem and leaves are colored with a Pear Pizzazz Marker.  The petals are colored with a Blender Pen and Rich Razzleberry and Perfect Plum Classic Ink Pads.  I love how easy it is to blend the colors with the Blender Pen on the semi-porous surface.  The color that shows through on the "right" side reminds me of porcelain.

Starburst Medallion—I punched the colored image with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch, then adhered it onto a Very Vanilla circle punch of the same size.  Again, I found that Glue Dots work best and I placed them behind the colored image.

TIP: Be sure to wait for the inks to dry on the vellum, or they will smear easily.  Also, your Glue Dots won't stick to wet ink.

Next, I layered the image onto a Starburst Framelits die-cut in Perfect Plum and popped it up with Dimensionals over the Crochet Trim.

Twine Bow—I added a Gold Baker's Twine bow to the flower with a Glue Dot.

Sentiment—I finished the card by stamping the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry onto Very Vanilla and die-cutting it with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  The element is popped with Dimensionals and tucked under the medallion.

Peaceful petals purple - plum silver

Silver Version—For the Silver Fancy Foil hearts alternative, I started with Perfect Plum as the background layer, and switched the starburst to Rich Razzleberry.

Sentiment—This greeting was stamped in Perfect Plum, then punched with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch.
