“Remember When…” High School Reunion Favors

In a few weeks, I'll be gathering with "old" friends to reminisce at our Homestead High School 25th Class Reunion!  Holy cow, has it really been that long?!  Wow!

I wanted to contribute something unique and creative to our celebration, so I decided to make some party favors for each attendee.  I worked up a sample project this week…

Reunion - favor

I loved the look of the Framelit Treat Pouch I posted about awhile back, so I did a more masculine-friendly version of that. Our school colors were blue and gold, so I liked Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit as a muted take on those colors.

The pouch is actually two Labels Collection Framelits die-cuts adhered together at the bottom with Sticky Strip. See my Framelit Treat Pouch post for instructions.  Today's version is using Framelit that is one size smaller than the one in the instructions.  The strip of Summer Starfruit card stock was texture embossed with the Argyle Impressions Folder.

The "Remember When" phrase came from the Word Play stamp set, stamped in Midnight Muse, then die-cut with a smaller Labels Collection Framelit.  An argyle border stamp from Patterned Party adds some contrasting color.  To finish it off, I added Rhinestone Jewels and matching Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon tie closure.

Reunion - nuggets

The inside of the party favor holds three decorated Hershey's Nuggets in a small cello bag. I printed out three different reunion phrases onto 1"x3" Mailing Address Labels, then used the Very Vintage Stampin' Around Wheel in Summer Starfruit to add some color before wrapping the labels around each candy.

Reunion - trivia

To add to the reunion night fun, I'll be including a unique piece of high school trivia on the inside of each favor.  When attendees open their treat, they'll see a fun fact about 1987, or be reminded of a teacher we had, or find a Senior Superlative (classmate most likely to…).  I thought that would be a great ice-breaker and conversation-starter as we began the festivities for the night (ie: before the alcohol kicked in…haha!).

Now all I have to do is make about a gazillion more of these!  Wish me luck!

  1. Thanks for sharing this fun idea with so many details. I’ll be going to my 50th reunion with up to 518 classmates in a year, which is still probably not enough time to make them for everyone. Good luck with your project!
